Local castle is beeing greatly renovated and it is already worth seeing it. Vimperk is charming town with rest of city wall under mountain and can be the starting point for hiking or cycling in Šumava Mountains (or Böhmerwald, how the Germans call them).

We asked for change of room to have to single beds last min ahead of trip and they facilitated us. Hotel was not too busy, nights were quiet.
