The city is small but very elegant.
The city is small but very elegant. The main attraction are the baths, which are part of a UNESCO World Heritage transnational site. It is recommended to visit during the spring season as the beautiful riverside parks will be at the height of their beauty, but the Christmas market is also drawing lots of interest.
The city centre is realtively small, with the main shops in the lower area and the historic section with lots of scenic views on the hill overlooking the river Oos and the baths area. Excellent public transport is available for trips to nearby locations.
Special mention for the Frieder Burda museum.

The town is very relaxing and offers hiking, biking, sightseeing and of course the spa and casino. We took a free tour of the casino, which was informative and not too long, 45min. The spa is a must otherwise why go to Baden-Baden! There are two options, and they are completely different in what they offer so best to read up on them. If you want any treatments book early as they go fast on weekends. There area is beautiful and there are a lot of walking/hiking/biking opportunities to enjoy so plan on getting out from the downtown and head up into the forest. The Black Forest is less than an hour away for any day trips as well as Strasbourg. Train service is an option.

We used Baden Baden as a base of operations for seeing areas further north along the Rhine and further east in the Black Forest, and it's a charming town though of course very much an upscale shopping mecca (which is not really our thing). Now that I've seen the town I'm realizing we could well have stayed an extra night and seen some additional historic castles and other sites, and I for one (though not my husband) would have enjoyed a day at the spa!
It was booked for my parents for 2 nights stay. Specially, for my mother’s 60th Birthday! and it was awesome!
Parents got the gift from the Hotel, we appreciate it so much!
The room is fantastic, warm, cleaning each day, large one.
Breakfast is amazing, with Prosecco each day :)
You have a nice option to get to the Thermal Spa through the corridor from the hotel.
The hotel is really classy and contemporary. In the city center. You can go for a walk everywhere from it.
If you are traveling to Baden-Baden the Hotel is highly recommend!!
The hotel is situated in the heart of the city. We had the best room ever located on the fourth floor. I am working in the hotel industry for 20 years, yet, it was the first room in a round shape I have experienced to live in.
The view from the room is magnificent, especially at night with all the lights on.
The staff, the cleanliness of the room, the breakfast was exceptional. Everyone was so kind, helpful and friendly. This stay in Baden-Baden will stay in my heart forever. Thank you so much.
The location of the hotel was great, situated in a quiet street but within an easy 15 min walk to the main areas of B-Baden including Caracala Spa. The underground parking was also a benefit. The gym and pool area were great and towels were plentiful. The bar food was lovely and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable. Our family room was spacious and had a balcony & mini fridge along with a coffee machine. We would definitely stay there again.
We booked a room for three adults and were surprised to be given the penthouse suite. The room was large with a sitting area, fireplace, and lounging area. It had a kitchenette and large bathroom. The room was beautifully decorated and spacious. The breakfast is spectacular. The staff are very helpful and courteous. It is a located a short walk from the spas that Baden Baden is famous for. It was our favorite hotel during our 3 week trip through Europe.
The stay was excellent altogether. The room was spacious, very clean and while not new it was very well maintained. The bed was on the soft side but that is a matter of taste. The hotel is in a forest clearing near a residential area on the hills overlooking Baden Baden. It is a lovely and peaceful location. By car you may reach the centre of Baden Baden in 10 minutes. Also, the restaurant serves very good food, it is worth the visit even of you stay elsewhere
We liked everything. Great central location. Apartment is super clean, spacious, comfortable and luxury. Elevator is a big plus. Paid parking is really nearby. The owner is very welcoming and polite. Easy communication by phone. Eugene provided us with a discount card of city guests and we used it for a visit to Caracalla term. 2 balconies, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms and a kitchen with everything you need. Great place to stay. Thank you!
The hotel was close to a public bus stop so it was easy to get to from the train station. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with added lounge room. The breakfast was excellent, great coffee and plenty of tasty things to eat. We like to walk and it was about 35 minutes to stroll to the centre of town and well lit if you're out late. Or the nearby bus will get you there in no time. Good security and after hours access.
New enthusiastic and friendly owners. Breakfast was probably one of the best and varied breakfasts I've had in a long time. Do not yet provide evening meals but made a reservation for us in one of the local hotels within walking distance where we had a lovely meal.
Beautiful waterfall walk nearby to one of Germanys biggest waterfalls. lots of other walks. we will definitely come back to this area and explore it further.
Enjoyed a couple of nights here whilst travelling through Germany and France. Our room was comfortable and well appointed (the fridge was a really useful addition). The location is ideal for exploring Baden Baden on foot as it's close to the city centre and the thermal baths. Breakfast, which is served in a nearby cafe, was excellent. The staff were very friendly, especially at check in.
Everything went very well. The hotel is well located (in the city center), it's super clean and comfortable. The size of the room is adequate, you have enough space, also the view is nice (with some flowers on the window).
Breakfast is included and the terrace is beautiful.
I would definitely go back to this hotel next time in Baden Baden.
I stayed in the Hotel Römerhof as a single and was very happy with the facilities. The single room did not have much of a view but it was clean and comfortable. It was nice to have a fridge and a water kettle. It is very close to the heart of the city and close to the Spa facilities in Baden -Baden.
very nice hotel! here you can breath the spirit of the rural Germany, but close to Baden Baden (ten minutes far by car)
rooms very clean, silenced and warm. Very helpful staff. Restaurant with typical German dishes. Breakfast available sweet and salty. Hotel suggested at 110 % from my side
Very spacious room with separate bedroom / lounge area. Nice bathroom.
The bedroom outlook was lovely and very green.
Great breakfast, lots of choice and very good food.
Excellent service, all staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.
Clean throughout.
The hotel had lots of character.
It felt like home. The facilities were super welcoming since the beginning. The room was spectacular with a balcony overviewing a river. The breakfast was delicious and at the end the owner gave us amazing advices to get to know Baden-Baden. My wife loved this hotel!
This hotel was so close to the two famous spas and the bedroom was super comfortable and loved that the huge TV could be manoeuvred so you could watch it comfortably in bed. And loved the little extra inclusions like tea.
Slept really well the night I stayed here!
The hotel is only a short walk from the town centre and has a couple of restaurants and a supermarket nearby. The staff were very helpful. It was value for money for a stay in Baden Baden, which is quite expensive.
Located within easy walking distance to Old Town and the spas. Charming hotel with a nice spa of its own. Wonderful breakfast. Hotel staff friendly and eager to help.
My favourite hotel in Baden-Baden, we always stay here. Easy parking, clean hotel, welcoming and efficient staff, spacious rooms, quiet, elegant... Perfect.
