Bautzen is a very attractive place with plenty of shopping facilities. The town itself could improve its historic appeal by pointing out more of its historic sights. Nice little medieval town with impressive Sorbian (slavic group) heritage. The town was a little bit quiet in January, but still very welcoming. It is pretty easy to get there by train from Dresden (or Berlin) . I would recommend a 2 days stay medieval town exploration, stroll at Spree around the mills and old houses, and for a taste of Sorbian culture and great local food.MariaPortugal - 10Scored 10

Beautiful town. Gedenkstatte Bautzen is worth visiting. There is commemorative nameplate of Czech journalist Julius Fucik and his book "The Report From The Gallows". It is pleasent and recespectable.

The center of the town is a couple of minutes' walk away. When I said that I would leave early and would not have breakfast, they offered to prepare a takeaway breakfast. The room is very cozy with a beautiful view.Super hotel and very nice people. I had a great rest, I hope to visit with my family. Thank you very much!

We were surprised by the nice small kitchen which is covered in the cupboard. We didn´t meet the staff, handover of the keys was done via mobile talk so in this case you need to speak german or english language.
