Excellent 👌
We stayed here during the long weekend of the 14th July, as we live in France, and we were extremely pleased.
The hotel is in a beautiful setting and you'll have amazing views of the forest from most rooms and from the pool. The pool is also great, and it was one of the things that made us choose this hotel, as we wanted to relax and enjoy the hot summer weather.
The staff is 5 stars! From the reception, to the restaurant, everyone was extremely polite, welcoming and friendly. We don't speak German very well, and everyone made us feel comfortable by speaking in English with us (a special thanks to the gentleman that served us dinner both nights!).
The hotel is also very clean and comfortable. Our room was spacious, had a lovely garden and we felt at home here.
The restaurant is also amazing! Our dinner was excellent, really, with healthy, fresh and rich ingredients, but without all that nonsense new-trend cuisine. We loved it! Also, we think the hotel is a great value if you choose half-board. We think the price of the room, with everything you have access to (spa, pool, beautiful forest...), is extremely reasonable considering the quality food (and generous portions!) you get. Also, lunch/brunch is included (with salads, a lot of fresh and delicious fruit, cakes, etc), and you also have fruit and tea in a space by the pool and spa. We thought is was so generous!
Overall, we were extremely pleased and we'll definitely be coming back in the future.
It's German quality and German hospitality at its best!
Highly, highly recommended!

We loved exploring the area.
We loved exploring the area. We loved the walk to the next town of Hirsau to see the ruins, visit the museum and the cafe's. We had a great hike in the Black Forest and enjoyed strolling through the neighbourhoods along the Nagold river admiring the architecture and gardens. The restaurants and cafe's had great food and delicious desserts!
We found getting to the hotel difficult as I hadn't realised it was in a Pedestrian area with only limited parking. Lucky for us there was a parking space. The hotel restaurant was very busy when we arrived but there was no problem getting a table. Good selection of local dishes. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size.
Gasthaus Adler was a delight!! The property was clean and quiet. The woman who ran the hotel and restaurant was so kind and thoughtful. The food at the restaurant was incredible, both for dinner and breakfast. We loved our stay and will happily recommend this hotel to all our friends!
I loved this hotel. It is perfectly located in the center of Calw, which is an adorable historic town (I highly recommend visiting)! The owners were so friendly and the rooms were quaint but so comfortable. The breakfast was also great. Amazing place to stay, especially for the price.
beautiful, charming, exceptionally welcoming staff (I arrived at noon and could already go to my room; when I came back to the hotel, the restaurant was about to close, but urged me to stay, and the cook served an excellent local dish for me as their lonely last customer)
Allí, the apartment is amazing, confortable, cute. There was coffee and some free drinks for us. The views super nice, quite, close to Calw.... Increíble! We really enjoy and recommend this apartment. Decoration is super nice. You really feel like at home.
This a charming, comfortable hotel in a historical area run by a friendly couple. It is an easy walk from the train station.
The restaurant has a full menu of delicious dishes which we enjoyed very much.
We loved our stay here and recommend it highly.
The hotel was closed. I could not make access. I was left walking around in the heavy rain with all my luggage trying to find somewhere else to stay. They had my Co tact details but didn’t bother calling me.
We traveled for two weeks in Europe and the hotel was the best one!! Rooms very modern comfortable bed and what we love the most the restaurant! Exceptional food! !! Our best food in Switzerland!!
I came primarily to visit Calw but I am so glad I stayed nearby in Hirsau, which is a little more charming and not too far away from Calw by foot. Staying at this property is well worth it!
The location was very convenient. The staffs were very helpful and kind. The room and the bathroom was clean. The restaurant attached to the hotel was pretty good.
