The apartment was clean and the check-in was easy. We came with a pram/stroller that was difficult to carry back and forth by stairs from the 2nd floor. The people at the building were kind enough to let us store that in the basement.
The hostess seemed very thoughtful. It felt like she had already anticipated everything a young family might need and had provided that beforehand.
Most importantly, the location of the apartment is very good. It is right by the main town square where there is a little fountain for kids to play. Our daughter loved it! We even caught a jazz music concert at the square during the weekend. There was a nice farmers market too.
In case that's noteworthy, it has excellent connectivity to the public transport as well.

The WC in the room had an open design, meaning it featured a sliding door that couldn't be fully closed. This allowed odors and noise to permeate the room, which was unpleasant for everyone. The inability to close the door led to disturbances at night, as any activity in the WC would disrupt the sleep of others.
Additionally, the hand-washing area was inconveniently positioned in the center of the room. This meant that any attempt to wash one's hands, whether after using the WC or for any other reason, generated a noticeable amount of noise, potentially waking others.
I find it quite disappointing that such a design was implemented in a 4-star hotel, and even more so that the hotel reception deemed it a modern concept. Is this truly the case?

One can tell that the owner is an experienced high-end hotelier. Everything was there and in the right place. We were extremely satisfied with our stay. Dinner was home cooked and excellent. Breakfast comprehensive. The room well appointed. We will go back again without hesitation.

In first instance, I planned to follow the Rur from Heimbach to Jülich, but the quality of the path (Rad-Ufter) is quite poor. So I switched to loops around Düren, and I had much a better path quality everywhere. I enjoyed much more the area from Düren, upstream of the Rur. Downstream is flat, and more industrial.
The Rad-Ufter cycling road would become a dream with better path surfaces all along!

Reception was non existent so needed to find a number to ring to ask for an access code to the building and room.
Didn’t like the noisy corner room 101 on the street. No privacy. Wouldn’t move me as said full (but they were not).
Didn’t like the location as very little in the area except a supermarket.
Best avoid
I really liked the atmosphere and the style of the hotel. Very comfortable room. Unfortunately, I was travelling for work and staying only for one night and I did not have time to enjoy what the space offers a lot (as the little garden). The staff was very kind and helpful. About the location very calm neighbourhood. There is a delicious Greek restaurant close by and the supermarket just in front. Maybe a bit far from the city centre for people who like being more central and don't like to walk too much.
Excellent hotel at less than 1/2 from Julich. The rooms are very cute, hand made decorations and paintings of cars and motor sports personalities. The owner is very helpful and nice. I asked for a room change because the matress on the bed was too soft for my back and she gave me a room upgrade with balcony for free and the cleaning lady moved my luggage for me while I was away. The breakfast is also good and rich and the new room had a balcony. I warmly recommend
The manager/proprietor and staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating. We had booked a room with twin beds but that room was not available . The manager immediately addressed our concern and we were able to enjoy the evening and a great room during our stay. The breakfast was plentiful and with a variety of breads, yogurts, meats, fruits, cereals, and baked products. We were cycling around Germany and found this hotel to be a one of the best ones.
An older hotel but clean. Hard to say about the location - we appeared to be downtown in a working area. We felt safe. Breakfast was delicious - hot items and fresh bread, fruit, vegetables, cold meats, museli, yogurt. Parking was small and fellow next to us parked over the line causing our driver to have to crawl out back hatch! Room was newly remodeled and clean. Somewhat small but perfectly fine. Refrigerator in our room
Very quiet, clean and beautiful hotel. I enjoyed the peacefulness in and outside the hotel. There is available parking and closeby there is the second building where the food is very nice. I really enjoyed a delicious dinner with my beer. Personnel was very friendly, willing to offer any assistance might needed.
Property manager on site was super nice and helpful. The apartment was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. Just at the end of the street were two grocery stores. It was a great launching point for Koln and the Rhein for us. Thank you for hosting us!

The rooms and communal areas of the hotel were clean. Breakfast was good with a wide choice. The hotel is situated in the town which is a reasonable size. A good restaurant is Nish Nush which has delicious Israeli food.
Super friendly staff, spacious hotel, well stocked with a fantastic host and breakfast. The restaurant is superb. The rooms are small and easily set up for a place to rest between Christmas Markets. Easy parking. 5 stars.
New and fresh building, nice and comfy room. Great to have a secure parking. If you arrive late, the hotel has nice restaurant for dinner. Though the prices are quit high for the food you get, but it is convenient.

Very new hotel, stylish and modern. They have a quite cool restaurant in lobby where they serve great food and drinks. In general, I am impressed and would recommend everyone this place.
After 2.00 p.m. the counter has no staff, so need to drive 800 meter down to another sister hotel counter to get your key, this is the only inconvenient part of this hotel.
