The capital of Lower Saxony, beautiful Hanover has been so thoughtfully planned that you can’t tell it was largely destroyed in World War II. The city is full of green spaces, one of which is by huge Maschsee lake where sailors and rowers share the waters with pedaloes. In winter you may be able to skate there. A smaller lake in the Maschpark closer to the centre reflects the grand New Town Hall overlooking it.
The Old Town Hall is in the Old Town where half-timbered buildings were brought from all areas of the city during rebuilding. The square behind hosts one of the Hanover Christmas markets. The others are on Kröpcke pedestrian shopping street, and in front of the station, where the city’s main shopping centre - Ernst August Gallerie – is located.
To the north are the incredible, landscaped Herrenhausen Gardens – awash with colour for much of the year. This area gives its name to the local pilsener – Herrenhäuser. Also here are colourful sculptures by Niki de Saint Phalle, whose work is also displayed in the Sprengel modern art museum.
Set in an Expo City and host of many festivals, the accommodation in Hanover can get booked up quickly, so choose yours on Booking.com soon after booking your flight to Hanover Airport.
It was a very short business trip.
It is a quiet, easily accessible city.
They have excellent fairgrounds.
I think the extremely impressive wooden exhibition area is a must-see.
We were able to spare a few hours to visit the city and to take a short city tour by following the "Red Line".
We had some great beer experiences that we couldn't get enough of.

I saw police horses walking around.
I saw police horses walking around. It was very nice to see calm horses helping city in peace. Some very nice person in Hannover teached me that one of the reason why the police use horses in Hannover is that the place was famous with certain kind of horse breeding, moreover, they use horses to calm down the hooligans. Even the hooligans never hurt horses as they know the horses are not harmful to humans. How beautiful is it to see the humans and the animals benefit each other in peace! How beautiful Hannover is it to see!

Hannover is a great city and seems to be totally underrated. We love the Lister Meile, also the Eilenriede (large city forest). Bathing lakes around Hanover. We especially enjoy the festivals in the Barock gardens (Herrenhäuser Gärten). The zoo is amazing (best we ever visited). Lots of nice restaurants, beer gardens etc. Great museums, concerts, shows, festivals (Maschseefest) etc. I highly recommend to check out this amazing city.

It's a really nice city: we liked Herrenhauser Garten the most, but also Maschpark with Neues Rathaus!
Public transportation works very good and there are some tasty restaurants, such as Bavarium and Hans im Gluck beyond Brunnerhof.

Hannover is a nice city. There are a lot to see here.
Hannover is a nice city. There are a lot to see here. King's gardens are really nice, especially in summer, the MaschSee lake is also need to visit, the museums are very impressive. Celle town near Hannover is worth to visit too.
Good beds and a great breakfast! The room we had was a perfect size both for resting and relaxing, and if we needed slightly more space the hotel lounge and outside garden space were very good for that as well. The staff was excellent and always helpful.
The location is great not just for Hannover but close to the train station so there's good opportunities for travel to other parts of Germany and beyond. We will definitely return here and would warmly recommend it!
Convenient place to stay for a night or two in Hannover. Within about 5-10 mins from station even those the initial exit is a bit seedy, the immediate location around the hotel is fine. Small lift but at least there is a lift which is unusual in some such places. Good also if you like a hotel where there is more flexibility about arrival times as the desk is manned throughout the day.
The concept of the hotel is really cool. I wouldn't recommend it for someone who feels claustrophobic as the rooms are tiny and there are no windows.. but other than that it was a great find for the price and i would stay again if i'm staying in Hannover for a night or two. The shared bathrooms were also squeaky clean for those who are concerned about shared bathrooms.
Enjoyed the stay for one night. Good American breakfast, large choice. Very convenient parking: outside is free. Inside just 7 EURO per day! Large Room. Very clean and quiet. Inside coffee machine and minibar.
Beautiful Lobby. Good service at reception. Speaking fluent English (not obvious in Germany).
Good Irish PUB in the same building.
The location was well suited for us near the park and the Zoo. The hotel offered a family room set up for 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) which appeared to be difficult in Hannover that week.
The 24 hour parking cost only €10 which we thought was great.
Located in front of the main train station, right in the center. Typical German hotel of the 90s, if you wanna feel this time ß this is the right choice. It was great back in a days but today it is more like to jump into German passt wells life )
This is a nice, clean modern hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room while simple was quite comfortable. I would very much like to stay there on my next trip to Hannover.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. This was my first time to Germany and they were very patient in helping with how to navigate the train and other questions.
The location of the hotel was excellent. The rooms were quiet and clean. The behavior of the staff was very friendly. I recommend this hotel for short stays.
The hotel is linked with an nicely decorated restaurant and beer garden. Absolutely friendly and devoting staff. Excellent and caring at breakfast time - top
The hotel was in a great location for my meeting and the breakfast was great. The check-in process was also very smooth and this is a nice area in Hannover.
very nice hotel with a very friendly staff - staying in Hannover for 1-2 nights it is a very good option despite the "interesting" street in which it is
