The morning breakfast was hearty in the cozy restaurant. Frau Heinderich managing the checkin/out and breakfast service was very friendly and efficient.

I loved that the owners where so accommodating we arrived very late, and they made sure we were able to get into our room. The next morning at breakfast they made sure everything was to our liking.

The hotell is right next to the Elbe dyke and if you walk up on the dykes you can have a magical view over the Elbe. While a bit out of the way from central Hamburg, it's only 20 minutes away from the historical town of Stade.
