A bit laid back town, very nice vibe - no hurry or rush in the city. The sea-side area in winter was cold and windy, but still a nice place to see (maybe not stay). There was a nice christmas market with stalls on the square.

Not a real tourist town.
Not a real tourist town. Nothing to really encourage people to stay there. Do not bother to ask police for assistance or information, too much effort for them. The information centre needs better souvenirs.

I enjoyed my short stay in Kiel, Germany especially the hotel where I stayed. Premiere Classe Hotel is situated in the heart of the old town with many restaurants nearby to choose from, as well as shops for quick shopping. I just love the vibe in that area of Kiel.

We arrived to toward the end of Kieler Woche which is a huge festival, loads of events and so many people who always remained happy and polite. In the mornings the bins were emptied and the town was spotless. We stayed past the event when Kiel returned to its relaxed pace, it is a place that relaxes you.

Kiel is a lovely city with lots of activity because of the fjord and all the ships, ferries and boats that are out there all the time. The canal/lock is equally interesting to visit. There are good opportunities for shopping in the city, but we observed that here, too, a number of shops are empty.

I lived here for 11 years and come back every so often on my way to or from other trips. Love the town and how it has evolved: The students and university feel are still there, along with parks, great restaurants, and, of course, the Förde. There's a number of cinemas, theatres, and beaches nearby, as well as a host of options for day trips, including Schleswig and Haithabu, Eckernförde, and of course Hamburg. Kiel might lack a pretty old town (in fact, the town has to advertise it's old town with banners, and I was asked once by tourists where the attractions are, while standing in the old town); but it sports a certain modern maritime charm and once you learn how to see Kiel's non-historical beauty and liveliness, you will come to appreciate it as well, I'm sure. What I also like a lot: You can walk pretty much everywhere (if you're good on your feet).
Hotel was conveniently located only 1 km from the highway off ramp. It was easy to locate. There are stores and restaurants within walking distance. The location of the hotel is secluded from the busy street and other businesses, so it is mostly private, safe, and quiet. All the staff were friendly, professional, and always helpful. Check-in and check-out were easy and efficient. My room was exactly as presented on the hotel website. The room was very spacious and had good storage and options for seating.
The hotel is awesome! It is new, everything is clean, all facilities are convenient. There are also Nespresso machines in rooms (you would need to buy additional capsules, they just give you four capsules).
I would definitely recommend to use the hotel when you visit Kiel. The rooms are very large and comfortable. And the experience is excellent.
Hotel location is also very good if you go to the city by car, train, or bus.
Always a challenge when traveling to find a room that accommodates 2 younger children. This hotel really caters to this need and does it with a bunk bed (right!?) in a modern, clean room (with toilet separate from bathroom).
Parking was extremely convenient with easy access to the hotel.
Breakfast had everything a family could ask for.
Definitely staying again when in Kiel.
It's a family operated business (super nice owners) and they care about the property very well. There was good reception inside the apartment there was everything anyone could need. Nice and well furnished space with quiet nights to rest. Clean toilet and good shower. Owners provided excellent guide for new visitors to Kiel. Highly recommended!
I did not expect much looking at the hotel from outside, but our family suite was spacious with two separate bedrooms and very comfortable beds. The room was really nice with complimentary. I also have to mention the location, location, location. Spot on! Everything in close proximity! Perfect Will defently come back again.
Staying alone and found out that Atlantic Hotel do not have a single bed. Even though you are staying alone, you get to enjoy a double bed paying for just 1 pax.
Breakfast served wide variety from cold cut to warm food.
The scenery at the Deck 8 (rooftop bar) is worth going especially during sunset timing.
Hotel has a great location in the city center of Kiel. The bar downstairs provides sufficient food and beverage options.
We had a disturbance on our second night but this was in the end properly handled by the staff of the hotel.
Having the small kitchen gives a lot of flexibility for the guests
The location is very central and most places we wanted to visit were within walking distance. The hotel has a small wellness, which we used once because it was rainy and we did not feel like walking in the city. Furthermore, there is a pool table, so it is also a nice way to spend the evening.
The hotel is situated at a prestigious location, with a wonderful sea-view! In just 5 minute walk, you're at the river front. The surroundings are beautiful, with a lot of forest areas and a wonderful walking area along the river, with several nice restaurants. I would stay there again.
Room have been recently redecorated. Room has nice size. Clean. Positive with chromecast in the room, and other streaming options. Hotel is very centrally placed in Kiel. Christmasmarket was just meters from the front door. Restaurants and pubs are close by
The hotel room was suitable for our two night stay to visit family in Kiel.
It is right next to the train station and just across the road from the Ferry terminal and harbour. Shops and restaurants are also within walking distance
Absolutely fine hotel for low prices. Nothing fancy, just perfect for a stay. Clean rooms, rich breakfast, easily reachable by bus nr.14 with a 20 minute ride to the city center. 24/7 reception, so you can arrive late.
The hotel was very modern and the internal design was very impressive. The staff were very friendly & they helped us immediately when we had a problem/needed something. Rooms was clean and comfortable.
Overall very nice hotel, price-value ratio very good. Excellent breakfast, great location in close proximity to the city centre, friendly and helpful staff members, clean and well equipped rooms.
Fresh new hotel with everything in superb order.
The staff was far above average.
