Central location made walking everywhere possible. We were able to have onsite car parking. Communication and check in was easy when we arrived late on a Public Holiday. Very quiet and comfortable. Quite a spacious room.

Great location, breakfast and staff service were excellent. Food is very healthy, creative and delicious. Lynn especially was so efficient, helpful warm and friendly, and solved (almost) all our issues and answered all our questions with patience and clarity.

Such a lovely hotel! The room was large and beautifully decorated. The hotel is very quiet at night, even sleeping with the windows open, I heard nothing. The breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly. And the area around the hotel is so pretty! Lots of restaurants and beautiful shops right in the nearby streets.
Offering free use of its pool, this manor house is set in large gardens beside the town of Lüneburg Free WiFi and a coffee machine are provided in every room.

I had nowhere near enough time to explore all the features, medieval architecture and history of Luneburg so I can't really give it a proper review. If you are a fan of history and historic sites and old towns dating back to medieval times, you must visit Luneburg and try to plan on at least 3 or 4 days!

The city is over 1000 years old.
The city is over 1000 years old. It wasn't much destroyed during WWII so it's one of the most amazing examples of architecture from the Middle Ages to the 1900s. But it's also very alive. The mix of people is Lueneburgers, students from all over the world and tourists. The vibe is historic chill - because all the old buildings are being used today. History comes to life in this town. I highly recommend it and I have traveled the world.

A very popular tourist destination, full of history and associated architecture and well worth a stay of two or three days. All the principal attractions are within walking distance of the railway station. The Deutsche Salzmuseum was superb and very informative about salt extraction and processing. The 'Krone' restaurant (Heiligengeiststraße 39-41) with its Lüneburger Pfannenschlag and draught Lüneburger is good for a filling lunch.

Beautiful town. Wonderful to walk through.
Beautiful town. Wonderful to walk through. Not far from major city of Hamburg or Hannover making it very easy to get to and from. My family is from this city which makes this a very comfortable place to visit. shopping is good, restaurants are very good. If you are visiting Germany and really crave Italian food, Osteria is highly recommended. :-)

Peaceful, CLEAN and cosy.
Peaceful, CLEAN and cosy. Definitely a must-visit city if you are ever near Hamburg. A fresh and breathtaking change of environment from the bustling and crowded (and dirty) city of Hamburg. Lots of beautiful, traditional architecture. Nice to walk around on the cobblestone streets. The Christmas market at the Rathaus is beautiful and worth visiting.
Ferienwohnung Klosterquartier was a wonderful holiday house for my family. Centrally located to downtown Lüneburg; everything you need is within walking distance. Having separate bedrooms for my teenage sons was very nice, as was the full bath and half bath. The kitchen is well equipped for making meals. If the weather was better, there is table/chairs in the garden for outdoor dining. Communicating with the owner was always met with immediate answers. A truly great house to be able to rent for a long holiday.
Beautiful hotel, with friendly staff.
We arrived eariler than it was planned, and I just sent them a message is it possible to checkin early (around 1pm) and I got the response "your room is rady" :)
The hotel itself, is old but beautiful and charming. Room was really clean and comfortable. Big tv, Hot shower, Ketell (with several tea bags), ...
Also its very well located, you can find many good restaurants in the vicinity.
In short, highly recommended.
Gästehaus zum roten Hahn is a perfect place if you want to spend a few days in Luneburg. It is very central - couple of minutes walk from the market square - and in a very quiet street. The rooms was very comfortable and our son was unexpectedly greeted with a little toy awaiting him on arrival - a lovely touch for which we're very grateful. We would definitely recommend this place and stay there again if the opportunity arises.
everything! from check in to check out we simply had a great stay at Zum Sülztor. we loved and appreciated everything in the apartment and Lüneburg ❤️❤️❤️ all instructions are super clear and well prepared, clean, organised apartment with super considerate and friendly host! many many thanks!
Location is perfect as a holiday home/Ferienwohnung, a super nice supermarket Edeka and salzmuseum is just behind the building.
The location is excellent, right in the city center of beautiful Lüneburg. Staff was very friendly, room was very clean and functional. We will definitely be back to stay longer next time. Wonderful hotel.
Very close to the charming city centre, 5 min walk. Free and easy parking at the back of the hotel. Friendly staff, very accommodating. Good breakfast. Modern and charming interior.
This is such a cute little hotel and the staff goes ABOVE and BEYOND to make your stay sweet! They even got me VEGAN breakfast although this is an "old" hotel. I was very impressed.
The breakfast, the location of the hotel near a nice park, and the staff are the best things about the hotel. The breakfast is excellent, with great variety and high-quality food.
We absolutely ADORED this hotel. The pictures did not do it justice — it’s much more updated and luxurious, with a rustic charm. A definite must stay if you’re visiting Lüneberg!
Great location. Breakfast was very good. The rooms and bath was very clean. Staff was pleasant. Check in and out was easy. The hotel is a quiet and comfortable place to stay.
