Beautiful and a nice place to hang around. I cycled along the river Elbe, and took lots of photos of the city. The weather was good, with sun shine and blue sky, so the view was perfect. I suggest people can walk/cycle along the river, from Cathedral to Jahrtausendturm, just be enjoy the cozy. The Cathedral has a total different view b/w days and nights, so go there twice!

Magdeburg is a lovely city but there isn't too much to do/see there. You might want to visit for a day or two but it's not too spectacular. If you get there visit the Hundertwasserhaus.

Interesting city. Clean with nice places to eat - especially pan asian. Seems incredibly quiet and almost like two extra floors were built on every buiding that weren't needed. Very beautiful and historic city.
Very beautiful and historic city. It was especially beautifully decorated for the Christmas season and had an amazing Christmas market! Very goood restaurants, hotels, shopping and easy to navigate with the trams and buses. I’lll be back!

Interesting mixture of the old and new. The Stadtpark was a good contrast and a great view of the city from the top of the Albin-Müller-Turm. Easy to eat out. Slightly disappointed by the "number 1 attraction", the Grünen Zitadelle. Would have liked to take the tour, but it was only available in German so decided it was too expensive.HowardUnited Kingdom

We arrived after 8 p.m. and found a free parking in front of the door (till 8 a.m. in the morning). The mentioned parking location we used the next day- it was even closer than the announced 700m and well walkable even with luggage. It is close to the university of Magdeburg, so it is convenient for me to go to the university to attend the conference. It could be better that the entrance door of the apartment might be changed as the door without glasses, that would improve the safety and privacy. Anyway, it is a nice apartment.
