A sleepy village between point A and point B.
A sleepy village between point A and point B. This is the perfect place to stay if you are coming to see the castle. You can walk or walk/bike to the castle. That takes about 30 minutes to walk/bike. Just walking will take longer. There really is nothing here unless you are looking for peace and quiet few people. It's why it's so wonderful. No ATM's. No WiFi. I like it!

And best of all - the breakfast with so much to eat and excellent details. Extra plus for shuttleservice from and to the trainstation in Moselkern. Parking is close by ( 2 minutes walk) and free. There is also a very nice place with good wines, Weckbecker, which is just 3-5 minutes walk from the property. The hotel has two buildings, a main building with reception and restaurant and another building with only rooms. We stayed in the second building which was very quiet. There is a beautiful 40 minute walking trail to Burg Eltz which starts right next to the hotel.
