I went to Oberhausen for a concert, the concert was at the end postponed but we got to walk through the centrum streets and visited the Westfield Mall which is super awesome and has a lot of shops! It's a small city so we also went to Essen.

We were here to visit a friend.
We were here to visit a friend. When he was working we were rather "stuck", for there was construction being done on the train line and leaving the town to go to the Rhine was not a reasonable option. We did a lot of walking the Oberhausen neighborhoods. The city is a place for people to live, not necessarily a touristic destination. We did eat at some delicious restaurants, including Salvatore for Italian and the Hotel Gdanska for Polish. There was an interesting exhibition of Michael Ende and his art of storytelling at the Palace.

Oberhausen is part of a metropolitan area with lots of theme parks and other stuff to do concentrated in the area. Our accommodation was approximately 15 minutes, in any direction from these theme parks and the Sea Life aquarium. A visit to Oberhausen is definitely going to happen again in the near future.

I went to the centro allee/westfield area.
I went to the centro allee/westfield area. I can not tell you about the actual city/old part. I highly recommend the gasometer museum and the topgolf. Other than that there is also sea life and lego land in the area. The shopping center is really big, everything is there. There were some bad restaurants but also some really good! Highly recommend L’osteria.
We used the lime bikes/steps as transportation, which added extra fun to our trip. I think this area is perfect for shopaholics, family with children or young people my age (15-35)

You need to pay a visit to the Schloss, its art gallery, and its garden.
Also not to be missed are the Gasometer, some shopping at Centro, and a walk in Volkspark.
Specially do not miss the sunset by the Rhine on a summer day.

loads to see and do around Oberhausen, this hotel is right next to the arena/stadium/music venue also the Centro Oberhausen, tram stop just over the road so no drivibg neede, overall a good hotel
It was comfortable and the staff was really nice and helpful. Breakfast was 16€ which I think is a little too much, but yet again, I don’t use hotels usually so this might be a normal price and I’m just unaware of it. There were some marks on the walls but otherwise really clean. There is no mini fridge which would’ve been nice. And a body wash that’s also a shampoo which is a bit drying to my hair… wish there was a normal shampoo bottle instead no matter how small, that would’ve been really nice.
The hotel is hardly 10 mins by foot from the Central Station and less than 30 mins by bus from the Gasometer and the rest of the tourist attractions. There is a shop right outside. The room was bigger than we imagined for three ppl, spacious and comfy, it had everything we needed, even a bottle of water. Breakfast was only 4.5€ but it was the perfect buffet and everything tasted good. Great place!
We wanted to visit Westfield CentrO for some shopping and to see the Christmas markets. This hotel is at the perfect location to do so, since it's only a few minutes walking away. The bar downstairs is well priced and open 24/7.
Room wise, the bathroom is great and the beds were comfy (even if the pillow was a bit soft for me). The staff was nice and helpful, just great overall.
Ideal apartment for a short or long stay in Oberhausen. Everything worked perfectly. The heating was excellent, which was needed for the time of year we visited. Very well decorated and furnished. Everything that one could possibly need was to hand. The hosts, who live in the apartment above, were lovely and couldn’t have done anymore to help and assist.
Easy checking, Friendly personnel.
The room was quite big for a 1 person room, i would say it could have fit a 2person bed.
Also a solid breakfast for a reasonable price.
When opening the window, you can hear the trafiic quite well, but I did not mind that.
Regardless, there were even earplugs available in the room, never seen that before in a hotel.
We loved the convenience to the Westfield Mall, train station, restaurants, and attractions. We also were able to walk to all of these locations and kept our car parked for the duration of our stay except for one special dinner in the city. The hotel staff were very helpful and English speaking.
The all thing, the location is really central, shops and cafes around, the room was big and spacious , we had everything in it, I did like everything about the hotel. We were really impressed and the bonus was the television too. And the check-in was easy too. We will definitely return again.
When I purchased this hotel, the average reviews was below 6. I don't think it's that bad. It's a clean hotel. Yet a little bit moldy but for 1 night stay and the strategic location it deserves better review I think.
Hotel is very clean and fresh and staff is very friendly and supportive. Bed is very comfortable and room it is also warm in room. Curtains in room quarantined me good privacy even I was on first floor.
- Friendly staff and plenty of free off street parking opposite the hotel.
- We attended a gig at Turbinenhalle and it was extremely convenient and only 15- minute walk.
- comfy bed.
Good hotel. Comfortable bed and good shower.
Very good breakfast.
Perfect location for Centro.
Lovely walk along the Rhine/Herne canal. 10 mins. walk from hotel.
