Spent a week in May 2023. Apartment was beautiful, big, clean and modern. Excellent quiet balcony to sit on in the evening overlooking the Schwarzwald Hills. Received a pass from the owner for free public transport and free access to the Oberkirch communal swimming pool (which is very close by and excellent to both relax and for the kids to play for hours). Walking routes are straight out of the front of property into the farmers fruit- and vineyards into the forest. Oberkirch offers all the shops and restaurants needed. As can be seen.....we loved it and we will be returning. Many thanks!

Very nice place, better to live out of the city, closer to nature. The city is very clean and beautiful, it has a rich culture, a lot of restaurants, even a vegan one.
Around the town you have the Blackforest, a lot of wineries, where you can try and buy local wines and liqueurs, local fruits. You would probably want to walk a lot in the woods as well as take a bus or train and discover other villages and towns around. Then enjoy those amazing sunsets with a glass of wine. We spent a week there and would return for 10-14 days next time.

Oberkirch is a pretty town on the edge of the Black Forest.
Oberkirch is a pretty town on the edge of the Black Forest. It makes an excellent place for a one or two night break on a longer journey. Do visit Renner’s Wine Shop. The local wines are very good and very reasonably priced. There are plenty of good eating places on the Main Street. The castle is interesting, but rather a climb to reach. There are seasonal strawberry and wine festivals.
Large but still very cosy hotel, even better than one would expect. The manager is very experienced and makes one feel very welcome, and so is the personnel. Our rooms were large and very well appointed - even with a four-poster bed! We were warmly and generously greeted and dinner at the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was worthy of a 5-star grand hotel, such variety and quality of ingredients. As for local advice we just had to ask. A wonderful stay, very highly recommended.
The hostests are great and always there for you, with a smile.
The breakfast is good.
We spent 4 nights at the big apartment that was well suited for a 5 ppl family, with a room to parents and room for kids, a cozy saloon in the middle and rooms are big with a 1 big bathroom.
The room wasn't renewed lately but felt clean cozy and great for long stay.
The hotel is 45 min from EuropePark/Rolantica, 1.5 hours from wine road in French and 45 min from lovely Strasburg.
What a little gem! Super dog friendly, indoor pool, many languages spoken by the staff, great customer service from everyone we interacted with.
Really pretty small town. We loved the restaurant for dinner and the included breakfast had a good selection. We hiked up the past vineyards and orchards directly in front of the hotel.
This hotel is situated in a beautiful area, superb walking from the hotel. The staff were exceptional in their attention and helpfulness. Very nice atmosphere in the hotel. Meal in the restaurant was most enjoyable with a very pleasant glass of local wine, and again, very attentive staff. Very much enjoyed my stay.
The hotel room was extremely nice and really clean. The size of the room was very really good and the renovations were awesome. The bed was very comfortable and I love the bathroom. Everyone that worked at the hotel and restaurant were really nice and helpful.
Extremely nice hotel with spacious rooms, everything is thought out. Breakfast was served individually, not as a buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant. By the way, the dishes in the restaurant are also delicious. Without a doubt, this is - 10 stars.
Nice hotel with bright large updated rooms. Comfy bed and linens. Helpful lovely host who speaks English very well and could give us tips on where to eat near by, Very good buffet breakfast all for a very reasonable rate.
Hotel was very nice and clean. The building is very beautiful and restaurants were all nearby. There’s a free parking lot at the hotel. The breakfast was also very nice and delicious. The staff was extremely friendly.
Stefan was an excellent host. Hotel Is perfectly located and was spotlessly clean. Our room (a standard room), was quite comfortable. Shower was perfect with plenty of hot water.
Breakfast was lavish.
Perfect for an overnight stay. Comfortable bedrooms, good restaurant with a nice terrace. And as bonus, playground 5 min walk from the hotel. Perfect for kids after a long day of drive.
Wonderful breakfast of sliced meat, fried and boiled eggs, sausages, cheeses, fruit .... Getting to the hotel was no problem as we were by car. The view from the window is beautiful.
This is everything a family run hotel should be. Helpful staff and absolutely outstanding food both for dinner and breakfast. Lots of local wine and produce.
