Hotel Weiler, hotel in Oberwesel

This family-run hotel in picturesque Oberwesel is located directly next to the market place and a 2-minute walk from the Rhine River embankment. Free WiFi and a terrace are offered.

Beautiful hotel in a very old building. Room was lovely with a view of the Rhine. The breakfast is delicious with plenty of choice including a hot eggs and bacon option. Staff were lovely & very helpful. We ate at the restaurant one evening only as it only does Thai food - which was very nice but we like German traditional options and they had none. We walked to Bacharach along the Rhine in about 1 hr 20 which was an easy flat walk and bach again. Highly recommend this hotel if visiting the lovely historic town of Oberwesel.

Goldener Pfropfenzieher, hotel in Oberwesel

This traditional hotel lies in Oberwesel’s Old Town, a 6-minute drive from the Loreley Rock. Its rooms offer a flat-screen TV and wonderful views of Schönburg Castle or the River Rhine.

Great location, easy acces by car and free (limited) parking spots available. Our room was on 2th floor, accessible by stairs or elevator. Was clean and decent. The breakfast was great too, maybe a little basic, but it has everything you need. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Some do also speak English. Overall great stay, good price, and everything was hygienic. Would definitely recommend

Landhotel Zum Kronprinzen, hotel in Oberwesel

Just a 10-minute drive from the famous Loreley rock, this 3-star Superior hotel in the village of Dellhofen offers spacious rooms, Wi-Fi, and a restaurant with Feng Shui décor.

Nice hotel. We stayed in a ground floor annexe to avoid the stairs in the hotel. Lovely restaurant. Also close to the Rhine Valley but up in the hills and not on the river bank so quiet and peaceful. The family running the hotel and the restaurant were hugely helpful and friendly.

DAS WESEL - DEIN HOTEL AM RHEIN, hotel in Oberwesel

Set in Oberwesel, 49 km from Central station Koblenz, DAS WESEL - DEIN HOTEL AM RHEIN offers accommodation with a terrace, private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

We are world cyclists and originally, we were planning to stay for one night at ‘Das Wesel Hotel’. I experienced a bad cold by the time we arrived at the property, we extended our stay for one more night so I had some recovery time.  The help we experienced from Bao, Andreas and the rest of the staff was going well beyond expectations! They were very supportive of the situation and nothing was a problem to make us comfortable! The hotel is beautifully appointed, modern and the rooms are very spacious. The dinner and breakfasts we had at the hotel were lovely too! One special mentioning needs to go to staff member Natthinee. Aware of our situation, on her day off, she left some medication at reception for us which was greatly appreciated! Thank you Nat! We are wishing you all the very best and success for the future!

Christian was a very friendly and helpful host, with a good sense of humour. He and Marcel have a fabulous garden which they work very hard at, and of which they are justifiably very proud. Thank you for taking the time to show us round. The property was spacious and beautifully presented.

This is our second time to stay at the castle. You can not imagine how nice it was to bring our granddaughter and her husband with us. What a wonderful stay . Meals were excellent, the veranda seating was outstanding, food was so perfectly done and the staff was way beyond excellent. We asked for some changes in our menu and the senior waiter was on top of everything! We are old but if we could we will come again!

We really enjoyed the medieval feel of the town. They were preparing for a medieval festival while we were there. We wished we could have visited one of the wine restaurants, but they were closed until almost dinner time, and we had reservations at the Schoenberg castle restaurant (which also offered wonderful wines!)

Oberwesel has all the features of a typical historical town...

Oberwesel has all the features of a typical historical town along the Rhine river, but it is less busy than nearby Bacharach or Sankt Goar. The town itself could do with some more restaurants and cafés. The scenery is woinderful, with excellent hiking and walking trails (towards the Loreley, or towards Bacharach). If you look for a really quite place to stay, the villages in the hills above Oberwesel may be a good choice.

Oberwesel is a relatively small town in a great situation on the Rhine. It has a selection of shops for all essentials including a Lidl and Rewe and touristy ones. It also has a selection of cafes and restaurants and easy access to other locations which widen the choice further. One of many towns and villages in the Rhine valley and wine region that are well worth visiting,

Oberwesel is a lovely old place with lots of places to visit. The castle on top of the hill is fantastic with a big view. There are lots of old buildings and part of the town wall is still standing. On some parts of it you can walk on top. In another area there are still towers in it. On the river Rhine which has a walk and cycle path along it in both directions.

Landhotel Kronprinz is a small cosy hotel in a quiet village close to the Rhine valley; staff (well, the family that runs the hotel) is exceptionally welcoming and really does everything to make your stay comfortable. The large garden with stunning view over the hills is a plus, but the true surprise was the excellent dinner: a combination of traditional cuisine with a creative and original touch, and great care for detail. Actually quite remarkable for such a small hotel. Really an excellent base for exploring the oberes Mittelrhein region.

We loved everything about this hotel! We were greeted by the hotel owner Paul who’s family has owned this estate for over 6 generations! The value for what you receive is incredible!Their restaurant, hotel and wine from their vineyards is absolutely amazing! Their restaurants 5 star rating is very deserving with their dinners and generous breakfast. The rooms are huge with comfortable beds, nice furniture, a great shower and large spa tub. The windows up to a cool summer breeze and meals can be enjoyed outside on their patio.

Large room with superb excellent beds. Nice terrace with wonderful sightseeing on the Rhine. Friendly staff and excellent food (thaï) at the restaurant. Local wine highly recommended: the proposed red one was really exceptional for a perfect price. The price of our rooms was really affordable and one of the best value/price ever encountered in all our travels ! We really recommend this hotel, firstly directly to our friends and trough booking to all travelers !

We enjoyed the view of the Rhine from the castle. We enjoyed the beautiful gardens around the castle. We enjoyed our cozy but well appointed Terrace Garden room with the HUGE bathtub. We enjoyed complimentary sherry, our well-stocked mini-bar, the selfless hotel staff, and the fine dining. The chef cooked one of the finest dining experiences I have ever had. Breakfast was exquisite. 12/10, worth every penny.

Historic building with loads of charm right in the centre of beautiful Oberwesel. Our room had a terrace looking over the river, which was fabulous. The staff were friendly and the wifi worked really well. Dinner and breakfast were great. The trains were frequent but we really couldn't hear them in our room. Free sparkling water and late checkout were very much appreciated.

Nice historical hotel (ask about the history!) in a cozy town off the beaten tourist track. Great location, very easy to find and parking was also very simple. Breakfast was good and the restaurant for dinner was excellent, in an adorable courtyard. We specifically chose a room with a balcony, but it really just looked into the neighbor's house, so we didn't use it much.

We stayed in the large loft apartment which had two bedrooms, a very nice living room /dining room, a reasonably-sized kitchen and a bathroom. We were met by a friend of the owner who lived nearby, in order to get the keys. The property is located in the lovely historical Old Town of Oberwesel. Great points: location! location! location!

Very large apartment; beds were comfortable, which is a rare find in Germany. Good communication despite a language barrier. Hosts were very accommodating and went out of the way to prepare extra amenities for our kids. We were able to park down the street without any problems. We only wish we could have stayed longer!
