The location is excellent, in a pretty town along a gorgeous part of the river. It is right by the train station, which was very welcome! It is a beautiful old building - the oldest guesthouse in town. Everything was nice and clean and smelled great.
The breakfast was good, although not great.

I liked my room with its pleasant colours as well as the beautiful view from it. The pool and wellness area were very good as well as the fabulous view from the breakfast room. Breakfast was nicely varied and they serve it until 11am - wonderful!

The Hotel is well connected and easy to reach. The breakfast was delicious and covered up for some uncleanliness we found in room.

The breakfast was plentiful, fresh, lots of variety, fresh tea, coffee, hot chocolate, juice, rolls, the BEST soft boiled eggs we've ever had at a hotel: delicious!

The hotel is in a great location across from the Rhine. Our room had a clear view across the river. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location provides easy walk to the cruise ship terminal at Sankt Goar. The room was very clean and the restaurant and breakfast were exceptional.

A perfect location to base a short trip exploring the middle Rhine. Small enough that everything is in walking distance, but large enough to have plenty of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops.
Easy access by train, but be warned, there are LOTS of steps up to the railway platform. Consider using St Goarhausen station instead, on the other side of the river, and use the ferry to get across the river. That station has no stairs.

Great stop-off for a few days, lots to see and do in the surrounding area. Wether with car, bicycle, hiking or boat excursions up or down River Rhein. Or take a local train to larger towns like Koblenz. Car and bike friendly. Castles to explore galore. Opposite side of river is the famous Loreley to explore and summer Toboggan run is fun. Above St.Goar is the huge Castle Burg Rheinfels and Biebernheim, hiking gateway above the River gorge.
Plenty of Restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlours during daytime. Couple of restaurants/pub need advance table reservation. These are very good for food.
Scenery is gorgeous and plenty of it!

Cute little town in the middle of everything.
Cute little town in the middle of everything. If you want to explore the villages in the south or in the north St Goar is just right and better priced than Koblenz for example. Beautiful castle right in town. You can take a day in the Rhine from St Goar also. The food is not that great but if you like schnitzels, sauces, bratwurst, bread, and beer it is perfect! Easy to get around, great breakfast at St Goar café. They dont advertise it but make you great scramble eggs!

Sankt Goar is a small town on the Rhine with many hotels and restaurants. From the river promenade you will see many castles and the famous Lorelei. A ferry is also available for crossing the Rhine. I highly recommend! If you drive, the scenery from the river road is wonderful. Coming by train is also very easy.

Staff went above and beyond normal service to help us.
Staff went above and beyond normal service to help us. The allowed for early drop off of luggage before check-in so we could explore the town and let us leave our bags after check-out. They gave helpful advice on the town and the nearby castle.

The view from the castle hotel is gorgeous.
The view from the castle hotel is gorgeous. The town itself is very small and doesn't have much to do, compared to other towns on the Rhine such as Rudesheim Am Rhein and Bacharach. However, you could go to many nearby places by car or by the hourly train.
The hotel is at a very nice location, over the river, with marvellous view. We booked two rooms; size of both rooms was good. The staff was nice and friendly at the check-in and check-out. We could pay with card.
There is a big parking (for free) next to the hotel.
The breakfast was good with several different types of food, but nothing special, comparing to other hotels where we stayed in Germany previously.
COVID-19 rules were fully and strictly applied; it is Germany :)
This hotel was fabulous - the owner, Gil was so nice and a wonderful resource. He gave us tips about restaurants and site seeing and we did all his suggestions and it made our stay even more special. Our room was very large and comfortable with a big deck overlooking the river. Breakfast was exceptional. This was our first hotel of our trip and I’m afraid I am now spoiled and it has certainly raised my expectations.
Just one night stay in this hotel, but I was really satisfied with my stay. Hotel was exactly as expected and quality was good for the price I paid. Lady at the reception desk was smiley and helpful. Breakfats was very good with choice of bread, salami, cheese, sweets. Bathroom was shared between two rooms, so it was not problem at all. Free parking available nearby the hotel. Beautiful view from room.
Our stay at Hotel zur Lorelely was very enjoyable. The owner was friendly, accomodating and helpful, the family room on the top floor we stayed in was bright, clean, and comfortable, and the included breakfast was good and had everything we wanted. The little personal touches (candy on the bed, our name on the breakfast table) were appreciated and made us feel welcome.
Good location, basic comfort, much friendlier than these owners will be hard to find. Fall asleep to the sound of a babbling brook. Just outside Sankt Goar.
Good service, also the opportunity to eat something in the evening. Beautiful and original dishes for the small and slightly larger hunger.
The hotel is an old traditional German Inn which was exactly what we wanted. The view from our window was fantastic. There are plenty of restaurants nearby in all price categories. The receptionist was very helpful and the breakfast was excellent. This all came at a low price!
Breakfast was excellent, parking was great over the weekend. Hotel is in great location. We enjoyed overviewing the river Rhein, the river valley and some castles within this area. I highly recommend the hotel and we will come back once we plan to stay in St. Goar again.
The flat is located very central in Sankt Goar, and makes it very easy to do shoping, cafe visits, and dinning in resturants by foot. And for us was the open wieve to the trafic on the river from the flat absolutly marvelus.
An absolutely beautiful castle with nice little hotel inside. The view from the dining room was fantastic. Be sure and make a reservation before arrival as non guests dine here as well. Very ample parking. Great breakfast.
Lovely staff! So welcoming and genuine. Greeted with sparkling wine, so nice! They accomdated our early arrival by stashing our bags. Hotel was clean and rooms were large and spacious. View of the river was outstanding.
We went for a friend's wedding and we discovered a unique place. We rent 3 apartments and we had all we needed. The views were amazing and Sankt Goar is such a quiet and relaxing place, everything was perfect.
Old-fashioned small hotel in a scenic Rhine village. Classic continental breakfast was served in the owner's restaurant adjacent. The train station and riverside docks are an easy walk away.
