This family-run hotel offers large rooms, a steakhouse and free private parking. It stands beside the River Böhme and the Vital-Solequelle Therme swimming baths in Soltau. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was above standard, good choice, nicely presented, fresh and plentiful. the location in the middle of the town gave us opportunity for a lovely evening walk.

Lovely quiet town.
Lovely quiet town. Great forest and Heide landscape hiking nearby. The toy museum is quaint and a wonderful discovery, amazing collections! The Felto felt and textile museum is stunning, great technical displays and examples of felt products. Also has an amazing view from the rooftop! Soltau is such a gem waiting to be discovered, great value for money. Definitely recommend!

The last time I was in Soltau was in 1971. I had been in Soltau since 1969. Over the years that I have been away from Soltau major changes had taken place. I had a very enjoyable time in Soltau the 4 days I was there. Hopefully I will be back in the Spring of 2020

Small town, loads of possibilities to eat outside (Brauhaus Joh. Albrecht was our choice; local beer and enormous portions :)). Connection to Heide Park is once an hour (once every two hours during the day) per public transport, not really optimal. Taxi from Heide Park to Soltau was 20 €, a bit excessive for the 7 km distance.

Soltau had a some great little restaurants and cafes. It also had a fantastic spa/lido/thermal bath complex which the whole family really enjoyed and it was cheap. Close to the Heide Park and Resort which was fun albeit a little pricey.

We went to Soltau last year in July and this year in August...
We went to Soltau last year in July and this year in August to go to Heidepark. July was a busy month; we didn't get to ride as many rides as we did in August this year. Soltau therme is attractive for a family with toddler like us. The weather was not good that day, so we decided to go to Soltau therme. It was much better than we thought.

The staffs are really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We felt very welcomed here. And the location was perfect for us, since we wanted to visit the Soltau Thermal Swimming Pools. Also not too far to the city center. But nice & quiet, no noise at night. We will definitely come back here.

Our quadruple room had a second bedroom with bunkbeds for the kids. Nice decor. Good lighting. Excellent breakfast. Plenty of parking. We didn't eat dinner at the restaurant, but it was quite busy, people looked happy, and the food looked good. The surrounding landscape was very nice.
