Charming and relaxing beach destination within easy reach of Hamburg. The weather happened to be nice during my stay, but it looks like it would still be an enjoyable destination if the weather wasn’t so sunny or warm. Local people were friendly and welcoming, and I learned interesting things about the region. There are a variety of places to eat, catering to higher end fine dining as well as more humble restaurants. I had a beautiful meal on the deck at Restaurant Rendezvous, as well as a delicious casual meal from the little takeaway huts along the marina. Cafe Ahoi coffee is a decent coffee option, and the bakery Bäckerei Seßelberg Niendorfwas also very good. Gift shop Snabbelsnuut was great with unique and affordable good quality items locally sourced with friendly helpful service, and Lambert Studio has a great selection of lovely homewares, with friendly and knowledgeable customer service.

We went to see Alle Farben on the beach and found a great restaurant practically next door where we could still hear the music. Vogelpark Niendorf is the best bird park we have ever been to, and my husband is a bird enthusiast!

This hotel was recently opened (spring 2023) so it is in absolutely tip top condition. The very small team made the stay very personal and enjoyable.

The design of common areas and rooms is beautiful and the staff is really friendly. We enjoyed the sauna and relax area and the well equipped gym that guest can use without paying any supplement. The position is perfect: right in the center, near the beach, the shops, the restaurants, the cure park and the forest. Dogs are more than welcome. We enjoyed our visit so much that we ended up staying one night longer.

The apartment rooms were very large and spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed for a comfortable stay! We would have loved to have better weather to enjoy the patio and garden more.
