The city is historic with lots of history and you can take tours around the city with a guide, also a lot of hiking can be done in oybin with a mountain train to take you, but not in winter. There is a museum, five churches, local bakeries, shops and restaurants. Train station is ten minutes walk to the centre. The room was lovely with a large window, and lots of lamps so you could create a nice atmosphere. Had a fridge, kettle, desk for working, everything I needed. The area was lovely and quiet and felt safe. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice, and the restaurant food in the evening also very nice. The carpet was new and soft. We got a corner room, so there were windows to two streets, despite that it was quiet with closed windows. With open windows, there is traffic noise from cars passing by. Personal was very friendly and speaks fluent English. Continental breakfast was served. The hotel has a restaurant for dinner in the same building.

I could actually see the trains from the kitchen window. The railway station is around the corner. There were supermarkets nearby, including a Sunday opening baker. Lessing Strasse is a very quiet street.
