The staff was awesome. So friendly and helpful. They called me by name. All the food at the restaurant was delicious. Not many restaurants around but doesn't matter, you have everything you need here. I loved all the little touches.

Our favorite stay in the DR by far! Property is gorgeous and the staff and guests are both laid back and friendly. Spring for a massage as they are affordable and excellent. Food was great with many options for varied diets. I don’t drink alcohol and really appreciated the delicious mocktail menu.
We are a married couple traveling without our kids, but the facility is child- and baby-friendly and all children we saw there were remarkably well-behaved.
Our cabana was gorgeous with a great mattress. We loved lazing on the porch with its comfy hammock. We didn’t spend time at the pool with the ocean right there, but it was clean and a comfortable temperature.
The property arranged multiple drivers for us, and they were extremely punctual (even in the very early morning) and well worth the cost. Maximo drove us to the waterfalls and dropped us at our next hotel in Puerto Plata afterward, and he was great.
Highly recommend!

The receptionist, Kenny, is perfect. Very polite, knows everything, perfect english and very helpful. The location is perfect directly at the beach for kitesurfing or walking at the beach. We had a room with balcony an could see every morning a marvelous sunrise.

Cabarete has a laid-back feel that is perfect for an easygoing vacation. The waves are fun the play in and the water/wind sports are fun and colorful to watch. Getting around is easy by walking. High tide will make some of the beach walking a challenge if you are too far down the beach, but still doable.

Cabarete has a very different atmosphere than other parts of Dominican Republic. It is a surfer town with a very relaxed energy. You find good restaurant options (fresh fresh cafe, gorditos fresh mex, la casita de papi, mojito bar, belgium bakery, vagamundo coffee, friend’s, ojo club), some shops, fun relaxed night life and there is a nice enough beach with bars, restaurants and kite and windsurf rentals/schools. It is quite a small town so staying here for a longer time could become boring if you don’t do day trips to other areas near by. I travel a lot to the DR and always enjoy staying 3-5 days in the area because of the nice restaurant and relaxed surfer vibes and the change to another part of the country to continue my vacation.

Lots of shops with a variety of goods along main street (busy so careful crossing). Bars & restaurents were excellent! Good entertainment, lots of expats in town and along the beach. Dominicans are friendly and helpful.
As elsewhere, stay with the crowds if out at night. Stay on the beaten track. I walked all over during the day, A small nieghbourhood bar was a great stop on a hot afternoon.

Compliments to the helpful and pleasant staff.
Compliments to the helpful and pleasant staff. Extra cudos to Senior Santos, Jennifer, the security team and maintenance crew that made me feel very welcome. It suited me for a quiet space to decompress and enjoy some reflection time. I would highly recommend this property for couples and solo travelers. The local residents were also kind and pleasant to mingle with.
Thank you all again, I plan to return next year.
Cheers, Chris from Canada.

Great for foreigners, it has a budget for everyone in terms of restaurants, accommodation, and things to do. It is about a 4-hour drive from Santo Domingo. The beaches are nice and the water is warm. I would highly recommend staying here.

Some problem in the begin because they cant find my reservation, no matter show the reservation in my phone, also in my email and they still discussing, but after they fixed, everything going very well. Was very grateful because when they did the mistake, they give to us a spectacular suite i front the beach and the swiming pool. Was super
Great place, super nice hospitality, amazing people with a positive vibe. I would love to see more of those places around the world. Ideal place if you value positive energy, good location in a quiet street, which is hard to get in the Cabarete area. Nice garden, great breakfast which is not a standard in Dominicana. Most of the breakfast in 3-4 stars hotels are far beyond what you receive in Kibayoo. Super nice owners that will recommend you many worth to see places around. I will remember this place and recommend it to everyone. Thank you !
Location is very good if you want to surf in Encuentro beach. Also, being on the main street makes it very easy to catch public transportation (Guaguas, motochonchos, carritos publicos, they all pass in front of the structure door every 5 minutes): in this way, you can get to Sosua, Puerto Plata, Cabarete, Rio San Juan in a very straightforward way.
Staff is always nice, smiley and available at all time.
The room has the basic comfort (+ a very useful mosquito net, I was not bothered by mosquitos at all!)
Here I had the best stay in Dominican Republic! This place is peaceful, beautiful and you feel like home. I got a lot of help from stuff any time. This place is located close to the surfing paradise, not so close to Cabarete (you need to take guagua to the city). Facilities are clean and garden is magical. I relaxed and charged my batteries by the pool.
It was quiet and I can highly recommend to stay here during your holidays. You will not regret it!
The breakfast was included and was phenomenal. The restaurant there has phenomenal views and is by the pool and beach. Perfect to watch the sunset from. This hotel had probably one of the best pools I’ve ever been in during my life. You walk right out to the beach and can explore the other beachfront properties. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, maybe just a little outdated but it did it’s job
This was a very unique hotel with open-air treehouse rooms. The beachfront location was also amazing! It was one of the coolest places I have personally stayed at. The location is about a 10-minute drive from the main part of Cabarete and about 45 min from Puerto Plata. Compared to other local places, it is a little pricey including the on-site restaurants but I'd say it's worth it.
Some of the best hotel i've been at. The staff is just amazing, especially Noel and Brandon, super amicable and helpful. Also, the restaurant is very high quality, the sport center is top, and the rooms are amazing. Top hotel in the region for sure, and even more if you go to Cabarete to do surf or kitesurf. Cannot recommend enough!
This place is an absolute gem. It’s ocean front with a large pool and continuous breeze and it’s easy walking distance to Janet’s grocery store and all of the nightlife (bars, restaurants, and dancing venues) right on Cabarete beach. You meet lots of lovely Dominican families who vacation there too.
The staff at the property were very nice , friendly and helpful. Generally we enjoyed our stay. The room was good size, clean, comfortable beds and good sized pool. All togheter decent hotel with a great breakfast caffee FreshFresh just on the door step.
Great spot on Kite Beach. The view is great, the apartment is well-equipped, and the owner is lightning fast to respond. Comfortable bed, and nice people at the complex. A nice and shortish walk to the main drag in Cabarete.
The apartment was incredibly clean and well equipped. The perfect middle point between Sosúa’s beautiful beaches and Cabarete night life. Mark was a great host, would definitely book again! :)
- sunrise from balcony
- very clean and cozy apartement
- seawiev
- big pool
I like also the area, it is very peaceful place, out of center Cabarete, I will definitely go back again
