This place a real gem! The view of Cotopaxi is just stunning (if your are lucky and the mountain shows itself). Also the staff is very friendly and helpful. Those who do not speak Spanish will appreciate English speaking staff which is not so common in Ecuador. We also enjoyed the food in the evening as well as the breakfast. Cozy atmosphere, you will feel like you do not need to go anywhere else. This was the best place we stayed at in Ecuador.

The Hosteria was great for our family time in the outskirt of Quito. Beautiful garden and a good swimmingpool with a slide. My teenagers loved the basketball court and my young daughter loved the pet rabits that live there. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Good restaurant. The staff very good and helpful. Jessica especially was always ready to help. The neighbourhood interesting for us as foreign torists. Nice to see real neighbourhood.

Great staff, secure parking behind the hotel, nice and clean room, quiet at night. As we used this hotel for a stopover to be close to Antisania reserve, I cannot comment on the location. For Antisania it's perfect.

Set in Cotopaxi National Park, 6 km from the entrance, Chilcabamba Lodge has comfortable rooms charming with rustic-style décor.

Chilcabamba Lodge is a lovely hotel, 45 minutes up a bumpy track from Machachi. The staff are super friendly and the food was simply wonderful (we recommend the in-house cookery session if you have time). There is a 3-course menu but you can chose to have less courses if you want. We stayed in the 2 bed family room for a view of the volcano, however this was only partial due to undergrowth at the border of the property (it would be great if that was pruned back). It was good to have a fire in the room, although we didn’t find the lounge seating very comfortable of an evening.

It is right in the National park with the most stunning views. There is a fire place in the room which they put on in the evening. So we were nice and cosy. Simple meal options but tasty.
