The owner was friendly, helpful, very communicative through the Booking.com app and spoke excellent English. The room was large and comfortable. This is a rustic property in a rustic, laidback town (so don't expect luxury), and was great value for money.

We stayed at Raices Mompiche three nights in the end of December. The room was big and there would have been space for two more people. The outdoor area of the hostel was lovely decorated and the kitchen was well equipped. We liked a lot that the hostel had some environmentally friendly rules for instance avoid using plastics or at least to separate waste. It was nice that breakfast was offered.

Sarah and Ricardo were amazing hosts, they are very helpful and nice. This is a perfect place to stay if you want to get away from everything and just chill. The view and the vibe is excellent. Say hello to Mango if you go there!

Best Hostel to stay in Mompiche, the owners are really nice, always good vibes and everything clean. Nice garden with hammocks and some partying on the weekend. Great location really close to La Punta and restaurants etc.

Located right in the middle of Mompiche. The owner was extremely accommodating, helpful and made you feel very welcome. He helped me with everything from surfboard rental to bus schedules to and from Mompiche. Only place I’ve been to in Ecuador with a mosquito net around the bed which I appreciate. Can’t beat the price and I’ll definitely be staying here again when I come back to surf the point 🤙

Aldo is the best host, you can really feel that he has so much experience and that is his own place. Everything has so much detail! The beach is pretty much just for the guest of the hotel, the walk is really nice to Mompiche. We loved it so much!
