The chalet is on a private 10 acre island surrounded by a frozen (in January) river, on the edge of woods of willow, hazel and pine. On our nature walks we spotted not only deer and fox tracks, but the characteristic paw prints of weasels or possibly pine martens. You really could not have a more delightful or secluded location.
