Rakvere is where my mother went to high school.
Rakvere is where my mother went to high school. Later the rest of her family (mother and sister) moved there to live. I consider it my home town away from my home town. Not only does it have great permanent attractions, like the 800-year-old castle with actors recreating life 500 years ago, but it has great occasional events. Like a punk rock festival every year. One time I was there, I unexpectedly came upon a street organ festival and spent the rest of the afternoon/evening with them. It has great places to eat with a variety of cuisines, from local to Caucasian and Asian (including sushi) and friendly, comfortable places to stay in between the eating, music and medieval life. It's small enough to get around on foot, but there are lots of buses too. You are sure to enjoy it!

A pleasant little town in the north of the country.
A pleasant little town in the north of the country. It was a pleasure to walk through the restored streets of the old town. There are plenty of restaurants with good food and a relaxed atmosphere. Would have been nice to have extended opening hours for the museums and extended time to visit the castle, but our visit coincided with the Easter holiday and this may have been the reason for the reduced opening hours.

Rakvere ise a Nice little town. There is his own atmosphere. The very first thing you have to to is go to the Old castle hill and touch the Bull desticles, its the thing must to. Then in winter time there was Every december unusual christmas tree in the head square . This year i was seeing an ordonary tree. This was also beatyful, but not Rakvere stile. So I hope that next year there ise something special tree. Of course the super markets Like "Põhjakeskus" and the " Vaala " and the spa " " " Aqua Spa " " ". Have a Nice time to visiting the Rakvere.

Nothing to do.
Nothing to do. Got a haircut at a local barbershop and she asked me, "why Rakvere? Nothing here."
The castle is pretty uninteresting and this comes from a guy who spends hours at museums reading every placard. Just stay away from this place, truly nothing worth seeing and oddly quiet.
The hotel has a very convenient location (next to the train station), although it is located almost on the outskirts of the city. The area is very quiet which helps to sleep well. The room is spacious and has everything you need to spend the night. The rooms are located on the 3rd floor (no elevator). You will have to walk about 10 minutes to the city center, but literally 5 minutes to the famous bakery and you are captivated by fresh pastries. This hotel is perfect for those who choose a hotel for an overnight stay.
Let's start with location - it is in quiet place and within walking distance from sports center. There are parks on the both side of the road. Plenty of free parking space.
Rooms are located in different (connected) building than reception. Room was big, equipped with door that had good sound insulation. Comfortable bed.
Tasty meals, that can be enjoyed in restaurant or delivered to the room.
Pets are allowed, with extra charge of 10€ per pet per night.
Room was updated, clean, tidy, quiet, with a good temperature, the bed was comfortable, bathroom was nice. Breakfast was better than expected, they even got oat milk, pancakes, egg and bacon, porridge, cereals, fruits - there was a large selection. The hotel is in a building with history, a beautiful lobby, only the corridors are a bit dated. Very kind and friendly staff, rather a very pleasant experience.
Thank you ☺️ Everything was so well arranged, room was cozy, clean and looked freshly repolished. Easy access to cafeteria, downstairs and fantastic included breakfast. Specially thankful for safe motorcycle parking!!! Also, really close to city castle and oldtown (Pikk street). For our one night stay here, after long road it was really refreshing experience to visit Rakvere and stay here. 10 out of 10.
Beautiful historical house in the middle of old Rakvere. Despite summer heat it was cool inside thanks to thick walls and fans. Stairs are steep, so the upstairs bedroom is not suitable for toddlers (there are safety gates on the bottom and top of the stairs) but it's perfect for older kids who want their own space.
I really liked that there were so many rooms. The kitchen had all the things we needed and the dining room with a big TV. The bathroom had a really nice shower since we went when it was 33 C outside. The property is also in a really nice location in the middle of Rakvere.
We found the room charming, clean, and pleasant. Also, it has an excellent location--close to the castle, spa, restaurants, and Pikk Street and a short Bolt ride from the train station. The host responded quickly to any questions I had.
Breakfast was simple but tasty. There was enough choice to satisfy all the tastes and stomachs. Also, the staff let me work from the hotel on the day of the check out without any extra fee, which I appreciated a lot!
Great spacious apartment with private parking just outside,
central location, 10 min slow walk to Rakvere castle,
contactless check in. Rare case when the apartment
looks better than it is in the posted pictures.
Great location
Warm underground parking for only 7 euros
Cleanliness in room and in SPA area
Smart designed SPA, everything is so close and comfy to walk around
Magic view to old Church
Warm pool
Location was nice and apartment was clean. They offer some basic toiletries (including toothpaste and toothbrush). Kitchen had basic supplies to make simple food. Street was quiet.
I arrived later that the opening hours, the communication was very good on how should I get the access to my room. Breakfast at the nearby hotel (3..4 min walk) was rich and good.
Overall, it was an okay place to stay for one night. We only used it as a place to sleep. There was a parking space and a grocery store next to the house. Keys were easy to find.
The room was tidy, with AC and just as described. It was just a short distance from the castle and many of the restaurants. Rakvere is a lot more interesting than we expected.
Great location, spacious and clean rooms with modern design. Cafe downstairs was excellent. Lovely city, could just recommend to visit Rakvere and stay at this great hotel.
