Ahmed Safari Camp, hotel in Bawiti

Nestled between the desert and palm groves, this camp-shaped hotel is located in a small village in the Bahariya Oasis. It offers a restaurant and Bedouin tents with folklore music and bonfires.

We used this accommodation as a base to explore the desert region of Fayoum and Bahariya. Ezz Ahmed offered very good value and highly organised tours tailor made for our needs. He delivered all that he promised and we felt completely safe with the staff he hired to take care of us.

Compare to standard Egyptian hotels, this one is really nice. Plenty of hot water, bed linen, kettle was provided on request. Mr Mohamad at the counter was very nice, speaking excellent English and answered all our questions. WiFi connection in the lobby is OK. Fire/grill place in the middle of the courtyard is great

The little huts are very nice and cozy. There was always a fire after the tasty dinner to sit at and drink some tea. The hosts were very nice and helped us in any way we needed, including picking us up from the bus drop off and getting our beduin pants tailored!! We did an amazing three night trip into the desert - our guides were great and so nice to us!

Tzila Bahariya, hotel in Bawiti

With mountain views, Tzila Bahariya is located in Az Zaytūn and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden and year-round outdoor pool.

Tzila Bahariya is a gem, we loved the food, we loved the pool, they organized wonderful safaris, but the most amazing thing about it is the hospitality and the lovely staff. We’ll be forever grateful for each and every one of them (especially Abud and Mahmoud) for making us feel like family.

Bawiti town is not particularly interesting.

Bawiti town is not particularly interesting. There are much nicer springs in Siwa. Visit for the white desert and see the golden mummies as a bonus. Springs if you have time. Don't give more than a few days.
