Small, local town mainly unknown by tourists.
Has everything you need, plenty of bars & restaurants & surrounded by countryside & mountains.
You need a car if staying in Pinos de Alhaurin as it really is a long walk into town/supermarket etc.
Great place for a short break or base to tour the area!

Everything was in perfect order.
Everything was in perfect order. I think it is my new favourite place in Spain actually.
In Alhaurin, we ate in an indian restaurent called Hindu texmex, it was absolutely nice. Real indian food, nice serving with humor. 10 out of 10
We didn't visit the village it self, but went Malaga and Nerja.
Easy shopping in the village (Supeco) and Lidl near by.
Check for siesta times - it can get you by surprice, since it is not the same hour in the different places.

The area is quite remote.
The area is quite remote. If you want a base for travelling out by car or want to spend most of the time at the villa it’s perfect. If you want to walk to local amenities either by day or night not quite so ideal.

A hilly area requires fitness when moving from one place to another if you happen to still live on a slope.
Taxi drivers couldn't always find our accommodation, didn't speak English, so we have to use translation. There were quite often language problems in local shops. It's a nice place when it's not crowded with tourists. A short trip to the airport.

Everything about the apartment was excellent. It was like a home from home. The decor was lovely.
Everything we needed was available. There were even essentials in the fridge when we arrived, including water, milk, etc.
The air conditioning in all rooms was amazing and a welcome part of our stay.
The host met us on arrival and explained everything we needed to know.
The apartment is a short walk to the main plaza in Alhaurin de la torre.
We wish we had stayed for longer.
Would definitely recommend it and would definitely stay again.
The hosts and the villa itself with the lovely garden were amazing. It was really nice to enjoy the sun in the garden, the sauna and the breakfast served by our lovely hosts. As we went there in spring (March) and it was not hot enough for swimming we couldn’t try the swimming pool but loved the electric sauna. The hosts really spoiled us and the communication was great!
Location: Alhaurin de la Torre
We travelled to and from it by bus. If you are by foot you need to walk around 10 mins to the bus station.
It is a hotel that was possibly built in the wrong location, it is an industrial park. The room was fine and clean but very noisy with the boy racers in the middle of the night. The restaurant was poor, certainly not what it was cracked up to be, i had a bean stew that was mostly pig fat cubed about a cup of chunks of them I had to eat around, and that was the best of the meal. It is close to the airport 8f you are stuck.
Very nice B&B. It's a small separate house in the garden and next to the pool.
You can park your car in the closed yard and next to the house. Room was very clean and you even have a small kitchen if you would like to cook. Owners were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was probably one of the best we have had in the Spain hotels.
Definitely coming back.
What a find. A true piece of paradise reminiscent of Palm Springs. The hosts could not be more welcoming and this oasis of luxury is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at and only wish I could have stayed longer. Clean rooms and beautifully equipped with the most delicious breakfast. Thank you!
Hosts were fabulous. Breakfast was beyond expectations. Views magnificent.Living areas and room very spacious and clean. Beautiful quiet rural environment. only minutes from restuarant/bar and main centres of Alhaurin de la Torre and Alhaurin de la Grande.
The hotel closes check in at 2 pm then reopen at 5 which makes it difficult.the owner Silvia is very hard to treat she has no flexibility which makes customers feels like they are hostage if her mercy the rest of the staff depend of the big boss Silvia
Juan and Sandra are attentive without being invasive, kind and friendly by nature and provide an excellent service one would associate with a hotel rather than b and b. We loved our stay in this beautiful place and highly recommend Roca Verde.
We arrived late to the hotel but the lady very kindly waited late for us to give us room key. We were only there a few hours as we had an early morning flight but I couldn't believe how lovely the apartment was. Would certainly stay again.
