The beds were very comfortable, although the pillows were a bit spongy. The shower was magnificent and we had a balcony with an amazing view of the rolling countryside. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

A lovely place to stay at. I quite often visit Aranjuez and also try to book a room at El Cocherón. It has a soul! you can feel a personal touch in there. Besides, it's in a really convenient place, just 5min away from the town centre as well as the royal garden.

Nice town south of Madrid, it has a lovely park and palace, a little bit run down in parts, this could be rectified if the local council made the business owners clean up the outside of their properties

The royal palace and gardens are a gem. Very impressive.
The royal palace and gardens are a gem. Very impressive.
As with just about everywhere in Spain, a section of the population is trying to ruin the country by spraying graffiti everywhere.
What I do not understand is why they allow this to happen.

Aranjuez is an interesting place to go.
Aranjuez is an interesting place to go. If you come from a dry place, its royal garden's will amaze you. If you decide to visit its palace you'll be rewarded, just do it before you visit the palace of Madrid because if you don't it will seem like it's poor cousin.
Aranjuez does not have a night life, it's more family oriented and after 23:00 there are very few places to go out to, and even less places to eat. There is no cinema or a theme park near. There are various little parks for the kids.
Away from the few central monuments you can tell it's a municipality than is run badly. Aranjuez is dirty, spiced with the feces of its pets in every single street, and a cleaning service that is not effective at all. At least it's a safe place for travellers and very well communicated with Madrid but almost cut off from Toledo.

Aranjuez was a very pleasant surprise for us, it is a clean, pretty and well laid-out town, with a really beautiful Palace and gardens. I would imagine most people would overlook this town in favour of its near neighbour Madrid, but we were looking for a quick stop-over point that was outside of Madrid and this town was really pleasant and a great choice, we both said we would stop here again in future, but for a longer time to check it out probably and appreciate it.

The hotel is in fabulous position and the bed was extremely comfortable. The dining hall at breakfast did not have windows, I would not eat there again. There are fabulous well priced restaurants a ten minute walk away on the river. Exquisite. The palace is wonderful and literally next door! I have recommended this hotel and it’s area wholeheartedly to friends.

We were staying there because one of our family was going there to work for a year in a school. We hadn't heard of Aranjuez before going but decided to base ourselves there as we were there to help them get set up. We were very pleasantly surprised as the town is just lovely. Off the main tourist track but has lots of lovely shops and restaurants and beautiful parks and historic sites to visit. All within walking distance of the apartment we were staying in.
The town also has good public transport with rail links to the centre of Madrid. Train station was about 15 minutes walk from where we were staying.
The palace and grounds are lovely and there are working fountains everywhere you look.
We ate in several of the restaurants and cafes. All very good.
Our trip was at the end of September and the warmth (mid to high 20's) and sunshine was also very welcome at that time of year.
We had made a reservation for a standard room with view of the palace. We were offered an upgrade for 40 euros yo have “the best room in the hotel”. This included garage with EV charger , which would normally cost 20 euros. Excellent deal, the room was vast and had an incredible view of the palace .
We did not give an excellent rating, because at this level excellent would mean zero issues. Find some small issues in next section.
All if it. It is a fabulous old building with everything you need whether it is a business trip or family break. It has style and grace and is a wonderful place to relax after a journey. The view was perfect, the palace is all that the architects hoped it would be. The staff were friendly and the place was everything a hotel should be.
A good value stop over in Aranjuez. A good restaurant (typical Spanish) next door (called El Roble). Hotel was comfortable, the parking garage was good and easy to park in. The receptionist coped well with my poor Spanish and did not rush to switch to English (but had perfect English when I got lost in Spanish) - made it a great visit.
Situated in the heart of the town. Although no on site parking there was parking available on the side street outside the hotel which was very convenient. Plenty of tapas bars and restaurants within walkikng distance. We were only there for one night but there would have been plenty to do if staying longer
We really enjoyed our one night stay in this hotel, right in the centre of town close to the park and royal palace, plenty of bars and restaurants within a minutes walk, we booked a room with balcony, the room was spotless with a fantastic bathroom, coffee making facilities and free water in the fridge
The hotel was easy to get to the city centre and onto the motorway.
The hotel restaurant had a good varied menu and was very well priced for a hotel. The 2 staff members serving a lady and young man are very pleasant, chatty, and efficient.
There is plenty of place to park. The rooms are clean.
The hotel room was lovely, despite not being large. The staff were friendly, efficient and spoke very good English.
The breakfast was plentiful and had a large variety of choice.
The hotel offers large parking bays and in an area where parking is limited, this is a bonus.
A gem of a hotel in the heart of Aranjuez. Large rooms, immaculately clean and with high ceilings, which is something I particularly like.
Although there is no carpark we had no trouble finding parking space in the neighborhood streets.
A very charming hotel. Rooms were nice and very different from one another. Staff was friendly and attentive. A small misunderstanding re kitchen in the room was solved in a matter of seconds, thank you.
