Very rude unfriendly and very unhelpful people.
Beautiful city but disgusting hotel ruined my trip so I left Barcelona after one night. Most of my time was spent trying to find a different hotel, complaining to booking.com, making dozens of phonecalls and crying alot. As a solo female traveller I would never go there again and would not recommend to anyone, despite my Mum being Spanish and having lived in Barcelona in her youth.

Enjoyed the city and enjoyed the historic culture and the sights I saw. Did not however enjoy my experiences as a solo female traveller in Barcelona. Any time I was not in the company of at least one other person, I was hassled by men to an unbelievable degree. Whether it was comments on my appearance, inappropriate touching, attempts to follow me to my accommodation or even predatory-style men waiting outside venues at night, my experiences have definitely led me to recommend that females not walk ANYWHERE unaccompanied from sundown to sunup. Not even a very short distance. The amount of revoltingly creepy men I encountered was simply unparalleled by anywhere else I’ve travelled to and, despite being a very capable female, I definitely felt unsafe and took evasive action on multiple occasions. I wanted to love this Barcelona, and I did in part, but this particular subset of the population really tarnished my experiences in what is actually a wonderful city.

Nice architecture, clean city. Beach is very nice.
Nice architecture, clean city. Beach is very nice. But on top of these 3 things, nothing really stood out. Generally a nice city, but felt like I could spend 3 days instead of 7 days and fully discover the city.

Packed most places into our 4 days.
Packed most places into our 4 days. You must book ahead to visit museums etc. loved restaurant nuria on la rambla, best paella. Red and blue hop on off busses are a must to get your bearings. Try to get to cafes balto early as it’s sooo busy. Maritime museum was excellent.
Sagrida well that is a must. A lot of museums are closed on a Monday so check before going. Went to a flamenco dance on Sunday night was well worth it.

We loved our trip.
We loved our trip. The locals were friendly and the atmosphere was fun and calm. We enjoyed delicious tapas and paellas at both big and small places, with good prices. Getting around the city was easy by walking or taking a cheap taxi. Three days is enough to see everything, but families might need more time. Don’t forget to buy tickets online for La Sagrada Familia and book early for drinks or dinner at the Terrace of Sercotel Rosellón, as it gets booked up fast.
Will absolutely visit again, we had a great time 🙌
Location is very good , 3 min. from La Rumbla, few minutes from Metro . pure center, rum is good , but not expect a 5 star hotel. Room has everything you need , and was clean, big enough, and I sleep like a baby. Street was noisy , but what can you expect in center of Barcelona :).I was suprised , but you get towels for showering , could change every day , and room is cleaned every day . sooo great.
Stuff are great. They help you with everything you need.
for the price you pay , I give 9/10.
Thanks again, I have a great time
Visited Barcelona, stay here for 4 night, it was a amazing experience for me and my bestie... Hotel location is near City Centre, very comfort. Receptionist at counter very friendly and always there for you.. We reach earlier before the check in time at 12nn, our room is ready and room was upgrade to suite. I request cake and flower before we reach Barcelona since my bestie birthday, the make it so special beyond my thought. Tq for the great experience, definitely we will come back again to this hotel, strongly recommended
Excellent hotel, close to all the tourist attractions. 5 minutes walk to the Rocafort metro station. It was nice to be able to rest in the afternoon then continue visiting Barcelona. Location is the strongest point. Apartment was very clean and comfortable for a family of four with little kids. It's not the cheapest option, but in a big city it was worth it to pay to be closer to the city center. Kitchen had all the necessary amenities. Staff was very kind and easy to reach.
- we've been traveling to Spain / Barcelona for 7 years and saw many hotels and apartments. This one was the best.
- we live in apartments with 1 hall and 1 bedroom, it was quite spacious for the family with 2 kids.
- breakfast was great and placed in the 19th (or may be 18th) century designed hall in the main building.
- apartments have a great location - close to Goethic quarter and the harbor
- its was a bit expensive but I'm sure only due to high demand (July)
I think I fell in love with Barcelona because of the hotel. As you know sometimes the accommodation can turn your experience either positive or negative about any city you visit. Luckily enough, Sercotel caspe was the best choice I have made among the recent hotels I have stayed at in my last trips. I like the location it is safe and within walking distance to everything. 20 minutes walking to city center .I also like the stuff they were nice and helpful.
Modern clean hotel in very convenient location if using Barcelona Sants train station. Nearby metro only a few stops into the city centre and also to Sagrada Familia. Reception very friendly, with a welcome drink on arrival. Breakfast was excellent (cheaper on check in than if booked in advance) - large buffet with hot and cold food, juice, fruit, coffee, omelettes made to order. Room was spacious with large comfy bed, complimentary bottles of water.
Icon BCN is located at the heart of Barcelona making it an ideal place to stay if you're planning to walk around the city center. The room we had was big and comfy with access to the terrace and with a private and cozy outside space. Breakfast was awesome with a great variety of quality choices. But the best thing about Icon BCN is the hotel staff. They were there for us 24/7 and did commit to our experience.
Staff were incredibly friendly. I came in very late, but staff was able to advice me, greeted me with great energy and support me with the questions.
Safe and amazing location.
Great facilities.
Best hostel I have been!!!
Honestly this was highlight of my trip. Compared to staff in other proper hotels in Spain rude and staff of this hostel were the best people ever!!! Honestly would come back again 100%!
This was a lovely hotel on a quiet street very close to the Arc de Triomf in Barcelona. The bed in our room was heavenly. The morning breakfast included just about anything you could want to eat and the staff was welcoming and kind. We came to find out that Catalonia is a chain of hotels in Spain. This one felt more like a boutique hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much.
This hostel has the best staff ever! Very friendly, always doing their best for the clients comfort. Felt like home here! Perfect hostel to stay while visiting Barcelona. The location could not be better to visit and explore the city center. Shoot out to Raquel, Cumé, Céci, Vanessa, Jordi and Cris for making my stay so much better!
most best part of the hotel is location. airport shuttle stop is just 2 min walking distance away.
Rooms are exactly same what I saw while reserving .
Breakfast was not the best breakfast I have ever experienced but it was good.
Staff is really helpful .
if I go to Barcelona again, for sure I will stay here again....
I've stayed in four hotels and hostels in Spain in this price range on booking.com. as far as the room goes, this was the best. It had clearly recently been updated, and was very clean, as was the lobby and hallways. The bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water. And the room was relatively quiet.
The Hotel Derby is an excellent choice if you want to be in the city but away from the hustle and bustle in the city center. The hotel is very elegant with beautiful rooms. the customer service is excellent. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning on my next trip to Barcelona.
The hotel is perfectly located in the city center. The staff are nothing but helpful and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and ensure you have everything you need. The rooms are modern and very comfortable, and I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Barcelona!
This hotel is fun and modern, which makes for an overall pleasant experience. This hotel also includes updated smart TVs, daily wine and cheese and a very comfortable roof top area. I did not regret my decision to stay at this hotel a second time during my multi-city trip to Spain.
Location is the best thing about the hotel! It’s nice to be able to stay somewhere for a reasonable cost that’s isn’t exactly a 5 star hotel, but who needs more than a bed when you are just there to see Barcelona! It’s was everything it promised.
This hotel is at an amazing location for exploring Barcelona, right in the city center! Metro, bike, bus, taxi and many restaurants/stores in walking distance. The room is spacious with a comfortable bed. Friendly staff.
Loved the hotel. Absolutely beautiful very comfortable beds and lots of Spanish charm. Perfect location near lots of great shopping and food with access to main roads. On a quiet street best sleep I had traveling Spain.
In Barcelona when you decide to be in the city center, unfortunately you don't look for a high standard hotel so when you book this kind of hôtel you are just expecting the minimum... This is what it is !
