We stayed in the off-season which had a major advantage (+ some small disadvantages). The advantage was that we were allocated 1 of the 2 best bedrooms (22 & 24). They have large balconies with brilliant views over the bay and the nearby Roman remains. (As far as I could tell other rooms have more limited views).
The room was modern, light, clean and well decorated.

Very friendly and helpful staff throughout. Room and surroundings reasonably appointed but low key. Breakfast excellent - cooked to order (not buffet :) ) and good (although limited) lunch menu (closed evenings). Atlanterra beach is great - albeit a short walk away through a couple of quite streets.

It is a great place to go, not too crowded and very clean. Expect the beach, not much other activities. I would recommend this place for beach holidays, however the wind in this region is very strong, which may make your trip change, and you may not be able to go to the beach..

Our visit to Bolonia was only the first of many more to come. We enjoyed every minute of our relaxing getaway. Everything is reachable on foot. Park your car and forget it. The atmosphere is laid back. Just what we needed. The food was excellent at all the places we tried (Las Rejas, Otero, Albero). There were a few horses wandering the beach as well as cattle coming in to cool off by the sea. Dogs are allowed at this beach. Lots of kite surfers on windy days. Do not miss a visit to the Roman ruins of Baelo Claudia. Although only 30% has been excavated, there is much to see and the museum is very informative regarding the process of making garum. Amazing beach (one of the best in Spain) but be aware about...
Amazing beach (one of the best in Spain) but be aware about wind because some days with East wind (called levante) maybe you need to go to a different beach or find an alternative like visit the Roman Ruins or practice windsurfing or kitesurfing. People is nice and helpful. You will find a lot of restaurants in Bolonia with different options to eat (pizzas, meat, salads, fish, etc.) I would like to recommend "Las Rejas" and "El Albero" both restaurants filling up quickly so you have to go early or make a reservation ("El Albero" doesn't take reservations), the service was friendly and attentive and the food quality was fantastic.

The beaches were Devine your choice for dinner was unlimited. Beautiful people the wether was hot but there was no humidity so it made for lovely walks along beach. We attend an out of the world wedding in the hills and the view was incredible. If you ever get the chance go you won’t regret that you did.Ann-mareeAustralia
