The apartment was just perfect, it had everything that you need. The host was so friendly and accommodating. We were travelling between France and Spain and I recommend as a stop enroute. Really nice small village that you can relax and enjoy. Lots of restaurants and bars to choose from. Fantastic scenery. Shame we had to move on, as the walks must be amazing! The garage is a real bonus! Thank you!

The town itself is nothing much and was disappointing from the shopping/cafe/restaurant perspective. However it is dominated by a truly spectacular and magnificent former railway station which has very recently been converted into a very comfortable hotel. The real attractions of Canfranc -Estacion are the mountains that are very close by. We were there in summer so did not see them in all their majesty but we did see where the ski runs went. Some truly great runs. We did do some short trail walks as we only had limited time but we did see others who were equipped for some serious climbing. It really is a year round resort.

Beautiful area. Lots of small interesting villages nearby.
Beautiful area. Lots of small interesting villages nearby. Scenery is breathtaking. We visited in June. Weather was great and mountains and hillsides were green and full of wildflowers. Great for hiking and perhaps biking or running. In the winter most likely a skiers paradise.

Charming mountain town with easy transport links to France and Zaragoza. Enjoyed hanging out over chocolate and churros people watching. Seems like a few things to do in the area if you have your own transport.

Canfranc-Estacion is an amazing place.
Canfranc-Estacion is an amazing place. A tiny village in the middle of the mountains with this old abandoned station from the 20's. The station is beautiful and impressive. I found it a bit of a shame that they are reconstructing it, for it will lose part of it's charm, but also understandable, because without reparations it would probably crumble sometime soon. The snowcapped mountains towering over everything give the place a very special feel, and the bad weather (it was rainy and gray) even gave it an extra mysterious dimension. The people are very friendly if slightly reserved, but that's mountain people for you. Absolutely recommended.

The staff was exceptionally hospitable and helpful. Check in and out were very flexible, and the host answered my questions thoroughly ad openly. The place was very clean, both in the public spaces and in the bedroom. Super close to the train station and great value for the little money you pay.
I also really liked that the hotel provided me with a special card to get a discount at a restaurant nearby for every meal of the day.
I have stayed in this hotel already before, it’s perfect. Off the busy towns in the mountains and valley, perfectly hidden, beautiful views, outdoor/ indoor terrace, mountains, swimming pool, comfy clean rooms, perfect food, nice staff I am certainly coming again! Great place for hikes or just chill in amazing nature.
This was a most amazing restoration and repurposing of the old train station. I Saul the property before the restoration and it was a disaster but the hotel and the organization responsible for the restoration did a remarkable job.
The quality of the room was very good, the hotel was also very clean and very conveniently located (although Canfranc is very small, so all hotels are very close to the train station; as well as all the nice hiking paths)!
Great hotel with great vibe. Wonderful cocktail bar, nice restaurant. Hotel feels a bit like a cruise ship—long and narrow. But wonderful room with great bed and best shower we have had in Spain.
Clean, spacious room, the staff at the restaurant and cafe are excellent and very helpful.
The restaurant and bar are good.
Room service cleaning is great.
Nice terrace.
