The woman who checked us in, I think her name was Sylvia, was extremely polite and courteous. There was a small issue with our reservation. She handled it professionally. Can’t say enough good things about her.

Very clean, central location, host thoughtfully left coffee and brioch for us which were very welcome after our camino walk.
A 16th century palatial home carefully and respectfully renovated into this magnificent, 5-star hotel, encircled by unbeatable natural forest surroundings made up by yew, cherry, pine and holly trees,...

All round an excellent hotel, location, food, staff and value for money.

Colunga is just off the coast and probably 2km to the west of Hotel Los Caspios. It is a busy, nice little town with plenty of bars and eating places. The Church dominates the centre. There are a couple of ATMs there too, but beware, they charge for withdrawing, especially Sterling to Euros.
Everything about this hotel was absolutely perfect! The staff were very friendly and kind. The hotel was quaint, charming and so adorable. Our room was so clean and unique. The breakfast was great, we had the complete breakfast which was absolutely worth it. The courtyard was perfect after a long day of walking. The milk shakes were delicious. The drinks were made so well and there were so many options! Stay here. You will not be disappointed.
As we are walking the Camino Norte this fantastic hotel was conveniently nearby and we are so glad we chose to stay here. From the comfortable room that was very appreciated after walking all day to the amazing food we ate in the restaurant adjoining the hotel and the amazing breakfast offered to us the morning after.....we couldn't have asked for more. The staff were wonderful and we thank you for a very memorable stay.
Hotel was in a quiet part of town, just a few minutes walk from the centre The car park was very good for our classic car. The room was fine with all we required for an overnight stay. Wifi was good and easily accessed. Prices in the restaurant were very reasonable and the pizzas we had were very good. The waitress spoke English, which we found really helpful. The historic building in the grounds was very atmospheric.
This was our third time staying at El Foyu and we still love the hotel. The staff are very welcoming. The rooms are large, comfortable and with a minibar fridge.
Breakfast is exceptional with a very large choice, much of which is home cooked.
The location is quiet but within walking distance of the town. There is a restuarant on site.
This is a great place to stop during the Camino de Santiago. It is a good value for a room and bathroom to yourself in comparison with the average prices of other private rooms/hotels. The room was clean and spacious. There is also a bar downstairs with a nice pilgrim dinner (it's big enough to share).
Positives:
The hotel was nice from the inside and had about 10 free parking spots in the courtyard. The room was clean, bed comfortable, had 2 desks, 2 night stands, big closets, TV, hairdryer. No noise came from outside or neighbors.
All in all, it was an ok stay, nothing major to complain about.
Nice clean room, windows opened nice and wide to let the afternoon sunshine in. comfy bed, good wifi, fridge, quiet building. After a day on the Camino I slept almost 9 hours!
Good grocery store right next door and Las Vegas Cafe opened early when walking out of town.
Incredibly friendly staff and right off Camino de santiago. Rooms were what you would expect for a 1 star hotel, but a good value. Breakfast was 4,50 and consisted of coffee, toast, and fresh squeezed orange juice. We enjoyed our stay here. Quiet town.
the hotel is set in beautiful grounds and the interior is traditionally lovely. We didn't have breakfast but on site honesty drinks and snacks were great, including alcohol, laid out in opulent lounges.
Very nice setting with our own private patio. Close to the Camino in La Isla. We had a problem with the washer door and the owner came to fix it and make sure we didn’t have a problem later.
