Promenade is touristy, but a few streets back Fuengirola is a Spanish town with good facilities, excellent quality fruit and veg and fish at half the UK cost. Proper high street with clothes and shoe shops, even Botox clinics if this is your thing ! Huge Carrefour supermarket ( equivalent of Waitrows) and smaller Mercadona (equivalent of Tescos)
Every type of restaurants even Indians, Thai, English fish and chip shop.
Parking is difficult but area around mosque is free, don't try on a Friday or Sunday !

Great town.Has a commuter rails station for a 25 minute trip from Malaga airport (train will be busy). Has lots of amenities, a nice town centre, a great beach and a big indoor shopping centre. Not too touristy apart from the sea front towards the town centre, but not full of fish and chip shops and plenty of actual Spanish people living and working in town. Good for families looking for a nice place to relax.

Fuengirola is simply stunning.
Fuengirola is simply stunning. Not very busy to compare to Marbella which it makes great for family with kids. Definitely you need a car to get around the place as hills are very steep. There are plenty of nice restaurant with great food and decent prices. I would highly recommend La Costa.

Typical place at costa and you can easily just spend days at beach. However, with a little effort there is a lot to explore and many nature sites to visit! Safe and compact area with easy to walk around and good public transport.
The view was amazing to wake up to 5⭐.
The room and bathroom were a good size and cleaned every day.
The food was very good especially the breakfast buffet with so many options.
The hotel itself was beautiful and spotlessly clean maybe could do with a little updating in some areas.
I'm not one for the pool even though it did look nice and well kept with the hotel being beachfront it was perfect for me.
The pool bar food was also very good.
Cleaning ladies were great and very friendly and helpful
The hotel is excellent, it is in a great location at the west of Fuengirola where it is quieter and close to the local plaza with the restaurants.
The staff are great, friendly, welcoming and helpful, the rooms are spacious and kept spotlessly clean.
There is a very good breakfast offering and the evening food either from the restaurant or bar is very good.
When you have finished reading this review, just go and book at the Occidental Fuengirola, you wont be disappointed !!!!
Lovely modern furnished hotel. All staff were brilliant. Really friendly and helpful. They’re a credit to the hotel.
Location is perfect. Beach in front and 5 minute walk to fish alley with all the restaurants and bars.
Wi-Fi not the best, but we were on the 7th floor, so maybe it’s better on a lower floor, as it was decent enough in the lobby.
Would definitely stay again and would recommend to other travellers also.
Beautiful hotel - worth the 4 stars.
Very clean
Pool area was lovely
Drinks and lunch at beach club pool bar were great
Breakfast was amazing, lots to choose from.
Room and bathroom were spacious and clean.
Lovely view of the sea.
Right at the end of the beach promenade but I enjoyed the 25/30min walk in and only 7 euros to get back.
My first time in fuengirola and I definitely be back.
Lovely hotel, very clean, comfortable and secure. I did not hear any noise from adjacent apartments. Staff were excellent, particularly Reception and Housekeeping. Nice selection of food for breakfast. Hotel is in a quiet location, a few minutes walk from large shopping mall but we took a taxi to get into centre of Fuengirola.
The location is ideal for being close to friends that live in Spain.
It's also close to the bus and train stations, pubs and restaurants that we use when staying in Fuengirola.
Also liked the terrace for looking out to sea. It's also ideal for sitting out on in the afternoon with a breeze when it gets to hot to lay on the beach.
Fuengirola was a stopover point for our return to Malaga. Hotel Reysol was well situated centrally and close to a good range of restaurants and easy reach of the beach. Staff were pleasant and welcoming and the the room, bed and facilities were excellent. Breakfast was an 'unusual' presentation but plentiful and enjoyable.
The property is located in the center of Fuengirola, less than 5 min to the beach, restaurants, and commercial center.
The place is new and very clean. Gaia and Mauro are superb staff, always responsive as needed.
I recommend this property to anyone. I definitely will book again if vacancy will allow. Thanks again.
The hotel is perfectly situated just in the center of Fuengirola. With lots of bars, restaurants and shops with in a 1 minute walk. Also very convenient with it only being 300 meters from the train station, 150 meters from the bus station and 600 meters to the beach.
I have stayed here before and have had good experiences on three previous occasions. . This hotel is 15 yards from the beech and a 10 minute stroll to the center of Fuengirola , ideal for a short bit of exercise for those of us that need it.
The hotel is located right on the seashore. From our room, with a frontal view of the sea, we had a wonderful view during the day and delightful at night.
The hotel staff is top notch.
We made the best choice for our stay in Fuengirola.
This is possibly the best low cost hotel on Fuengirola. Rooms are amazing, air con is amazing and the tv’s have Netflix and YouTube. It’s clean its not expensive and the most important part the air con is amazing!!!
A great and responsive host, very clean room and everything is quite new. Air conditioning works well, bathroom and shower are super clean. Good location in Fuengirola.
