Breakfast was excellent, the house is a beautifully renewed building in the upper part of town, very easy to access and near a public car park (free) if you're driving from Navacarros (great scenic road). Coming from Bejar access is a bit trickier, as you have to drive through the village, but the host is very helpful and provides clear instructions.

The hotel description fit all my criteria. It had parking outside, a tapas bar/cafe and a restaurant. Located on the main road east of town it doesn’t, as with most main road hotels in Spain, have a specific address (this one is Carretera Soria - Plasencia, 15) so Google Maps was needed to pinpoint its location.
It is a large, long two-storey hotel so luckily my room was on the first floor accessed by the staircase or elevator next to the small smart reception area and just a short distance from the landing.
My room was large, modern and smart although I have two minor complaints. (1) The mechanism for the toilet seat is set for female use. It crashes down for normal male standing-up urination. (2) Switching on the shower at full power made the shower head move rapidly vertical so that water cascaded at speed over the top of the shower curtain ensuring that the whole of the bathroom benefitted from its use.
I had checked before my arrival and was ensured that the restaurant would be open. It wasn’t !!! I was offered a table in bar area where I could choose from the restaurant menu. However, all the tables were occupied so I was moved into the very smart restaurant as its sole occupier and was looked after royally by the manager and a young helpful waiter. The meal was excellent, the Protos Ribera excellent and the addition of a complimentary crab and prawn salad tapas starter much appreciated.
In the end, no complaints. I was looked after extremely well so it was a very enjoyable stay followed by a free breakfast and a wander around town in the morning before moving on to my next location.
