Hotel Rural Victoria, hotel in La Orotava

The Hotel Rural Victoria is beautifully located between the sea and the mountains in Villa Monumental de La Orotava.

Welcoming staff: they filled my water bottles and they kept my bicycle safe indoor. Good breakfast.

Parador de Las Cañadas del Teide, hotel in La Orotava

The Parador de las Cañadas del Teide boasts an unbeatable location, next to a volcano in the stunning Teide National Park that covers the centre of the island of Tenerife.

The hotel is just under 100 years old and is very authentic, the location is absolutely stunning, our room had a view right up to mount Teide. Although we were there for just the one night we had a lovely experience, the sunset over the caldera is something else, then the stars in the sky due to the height you're at and the lack of light pollution is an amazing sight.

Lujoso apartamento en Finca Robles 2, hotel in La Orotava

Located in La Orotava, 2.8 km from El Bollullo Beach, Lujoso apartamento en Finca Robles 2 offers accommodation with free WiFi, a terrace or a balcony and access to a garden and a year-round outdoor...

This is a great location on the outskirts of Puerto de La Cruz overlooking banana plantations with no plastic poly tunnels in sight. The rental was well equipped although I’m not sure it meets the description of luxury (lujoso) in 2022, E.g. halogen cook top. Elizabeth the host was delightful and very helpful. Off street parking is shaded and secure. You are welcome to use the whole garden.

Cottage Strelitzia among Avocados, hotel in La Orotava

Offering barbecue facilities and mountain view, Cottage Strelitzia among Avocados is set in La Orotava, 1.7 km from El Bollullo Beach and 4.2 km from Botanical Gardens.

It is a really nice accommodation - and really among the avocados. It is a cosy place where you can chill and have a good vacation. Inside there is enough space and place as well outside. It is very private because of all the avocados and plants all around the house. You can have breakfast inside and outside (in front of the entrance or in the back on the terrace - or if you like on the sun deck; the last one is also nice for having Yoga.) Ted is a very friendly and lovely host. We had good conversations, got good recommendations about the area around the cottage. We also had the opportunity to taste some of the avocados. In case of questions - Ted is there. Thanks. To get there a car is preferred - but we think bus would be also possible ... . We had a really good time and will definitely come back.

    A historical town with character.

A historical town with character. Has a lot of good architecture and period villas. Walking around the city gets you back to 18th, 19th century. If you appreciate historic towns this one should not be skipped. Bonus: La Orotava is one of the 3 access points to mount Teide so if you plan to go up towards the mountain it's a good place to set a base at.

This little city is just a little gem: beautiful overall, colonial style architecture, well preserved, magnificent gardens, far from the noisy mass tourism, elegant, full of flowers, amazing vue. I've visited the city many times last year and with Puerto de la Cruz, I think is by far the nicest area on the island. I left in the early morning and I could smell the flowers fragances everywhere on the air.

Lovely old town from which to venture out across the north and northeast/northwest of the island. Visited in November and the climate was lovely for eating out in the various plazas and gardens of the town at night. Everything is on a slope so not ideal for the infirm but we felt safe and had no issues navigating about the city centre.

It was the perfect stop on the way to Teide national park.

It was the perfect stop on the way to Teide national park. Nice historic town - old grand houses / a good museum / a couple of gardens of interest, good views of the cost, a few good restaurants and a fun bar at the town centre / main square .. We ate at Dabeke a bit out of town but very good food and at Sabot Canario which was OK (limited menu but recommend the rabbit stew )... Gastro Lercaro looked very good but unfortunately it wasn't open for dinner while we were there ....

It is misleading to describe the Parador de Cañadas del Teide as "La Orotava". Although administratively correct (the hotel belongs to the La Orotava municipality) La Orotava is a small, very nice, city, certainly worth visiting, but the hotel is where it should be: in the middle of the national park, dozens of kilometers from the city. At the city: take a long, leasurely walk; enjoy the architecture, the pubs, the parks, the view, the food. At the hotel: be prepared for good hikes -smaller ones also available; study the paths beforehand and walk, walk, walk!

Romantic town with colonial architecture and beautiful view of the ocean, but also Teide. Many possibilities for food and drinks. Very worthy to spend day or two. However, call in advance to reserve in restaurants because (especially during weekend) might be busy.

The house and garden with all their details were beautiful attractions in themselves and the atmosphere in the house was very different to any of our previous stays elsewhere. The hosts Laura and her mother were not only helpful but let us feel as if we and the other guests would be part of the family. The house and surroundings are very peaceful, but still practically in the middle of La Orotava. Views are great. Breakfast was good and – as everything in the house – esthetically served.

Mary was an excellent host! She provided everything we needed for our beautiful studio apartment and the info she gave us for sights and restaurant recommendations were perfect. The studio is in the heart of Orotava, within walking distance of all major locations. We highly recommend it and we would definitely stay again if we ever return to Tenerife. Such a beautiful island and a fantastic apartment! Thank you, Mary!

The hostel is an old cozy house situated on the top of the hills of La Orotava, a beautiful historical city 20 min by bus from Puerto de la Cruz. This is a very lively and also quiet hostel, centrally located and perfect for those who want to explore the Nordic coast and its villages, or go hiking to the Vulcan Teide. Elias is a wonderful and kind host with great love for the island and its culture!

Unique House in between wine yards with great view into the mountains and down to the sea. A lot of space to relax. Good starting point for tours into the mountains or the beach. Nice Restaurants around, not far to La Orotava, bus stop close by, rental car is of advantage. Join the stars while you bottle a good wine in front of the house. We had a good time with our kids in the wine yards.

The staff is frendly and welcoming. The room and bathroo. Is spacious and very clean. The hotel is right in the hearth of Teide National Park. Private parking on the spot. Many trails with various difficulties. The hotel has a fitness, SPA, and a pool - I sadly didn't have time to enjoy. The restaurant and bar are spot on and the servers are wonderful. Higly recommend!

If you want a visit to a North Tenerife village to see how folks live here, you have found the right place. Far enough from the tourist traps, you will live in a comfortable house with wonderful family history. El Teide is easy to reach on TF-24, and great restaurants and facilities are nearby. Dedicated parking for your car is available. We would return without hesitation.

Amazing mini house, where you have everything necessary to stay. We had wonderful 7 days with great view, pool almost just for us in calm area of La Orotava. The location is great as you can go everywhere by car. Heidi was very helpful and suggested us plenty of places to visit around. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Studio Heidi for a couple vacation.

Charming old building in the centre of the old part of La Orotava. The owner is polite and friendly. They serve excellent breakfast, sometimes with home made cake :) Rooms have a fantastic terrace with a sea view. Since it was rainy and quite fresh, the heater in the room came handy.
