The Colourful Soul of the Costa del Sol
The birthplace of Picasso is as colourful as an artist’s palette, from the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea to the golden sun, which gives 300 days of sunshine per year. Beautiful city, especially for a long weekend. Mixture of fun and culture and it even has a beach on the other side of the harbour. Fabulous city for singles, couples and families - lots to do. I've now been to Malaga 3 times in the last 18 months and love the city. The old town is awash with bars and restaurants, and every night has a busy feel about it without being too full. The marina area is a delight, with a nice mixture of shops (if that's your thing) and bars/restaurants. During the day there are enough things to do to last a good 4 to 5 days, amongst which are the Alcazabar, the GibralFaro, Carmen-Thyssen art museum, Picasso museum, and the Automobile museum, as well as numerous churches.AdrianUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Malaga is historically and culturally interesting, very walkable, sunny, not too long a flight from the UK and by the sea. It has some very good restaurants and excellent tapas bars. Good quality food and drink is readily available and relatively cheap. It has a spectacular food market and lots of quite high end shopping.
