Mogan is extremely quiet with not much going on at all.
Mogan is extremely quiet with not much going on at all. There is a smart resturant if you are looking for a treat. Check times of the other resturants as some are closed in the evenings or on certain days. If you have been up in the hills then Mogan is nothing special compared with any other village in gran canaria.. It seems that most of the people who love it have just come from Maspolomas for the day or afternoon. Therefore anything would be better! If you opt for a relaxing vacation, Mogan is defo recommended, loads of activities to do including cruise with free lunch and unli drinks - we did the catamaran cruise from Aquasports es and they have discounted activities for jetski, parasailing, crazy ufo etc, banana boat ride / snorkeling (optional) is included in the price of 4hr boat ride for €64 per person.

Patalavaca is a perfect place, lovely beach, great bars, the best being The Jukebox! Best location for walking to nearby Arguinigan and Anfi and up the mountain to the cross at the top in Patalavaca. Weather always lovely and warm. People friendly. I've been going there for the last 40 years and won't stop! the location is great, if you don't mind a really dirty scruffy kitchen with no utils and no functioning machines like toaster, TV, Internet (is fixed now, after one week). Buy your own sponges and cloths, best bring your own frying pan. If you want coffee, bring a coffee maker. Fridge is functioning though! Roods are small but clean. I fell out of the bed as I wasn't used to such a small bed any more. Still comfortable. Seems like they have some local residents who run the place more that the owner. Beware of using their kitchen utils. Haha, what to say
