Really nice quality holiday hotel right on the beach.
On average, 3-star hotels in Nerja cost £75 per night, and 4-star hotels in Nerja are £115 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Nerja can on average be found for £54 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
With whitewashed houses perched on rocky cliffs backed by the Sierra de Burno mountains, Nerja certainly has a picturesque setting. Other than from a boat, the best place to admire it is the so-called Balcony of Europe, a viewing platform overlooking the rugged coastline and turquoise waters.
Below the platform is a panoramic restaurant, and there are more restaurants and shops in the narrow town centre streets, as you would expect of a Costa del Sol resort. However, Nerja’s distinct character differentiates it from the high-rise resorts. Its relaxed feel and Blue Flag beaches attract families, and there are good diving spots off neighbouring Maro.
The town is spread over hills, and below one just outside town the Nerja Caves stretch for over 5 km. Concerts are held in one cavernous chamber.
A 19th-century, multi-level aqueduct spans a gorge to the east, while to the west the Rio Chillar cuts through rocks to form a waterfall. The nearby donkey sanctuary also houses the occasional other farmyard animal. Dating back to the 17th century is the Hermitage of Las Angustias, and El Salvador Church is on a square looking out to sea.
Booking.com’s Nerja accommodation includes luxury beach hotels, guest houses with pools, and cheap apartments with parking – particularly handy if you arrive by car from Málaga Airport.

Nerja for us is a great stop after touring some of the larger cities and spending lots of time visiting historical and cultural sights. Nerja is meant for relaxing, hitting the beach, and eating a variety of food. Compared to other "resort" type towns along the coast, parts of the town retain a local feel, with a tourist district near the shore. Visitors are pretty diverse, but tend to skew middle age to older, no real party or club scene in Nerja, which is great for some, not for others. Usual array of restaurants, from traditional Spanish meat and seafood places, to pretty top rate Italian places, and reputable Indian/South Asian places, and a variety of others.

Beautiful town with all the restaurants, cafes and bar’s you could need. Good transport links which allows access to other areas of interest. Frigilliana was a 20 minute bus trip away, which only cost €1.20 each way, which I would highly recommend.

Nerja was a good place to start our stay in Costa del Sol.
Nerja was a good place to start our stay in Costa del Sol. We visited the old city and it was very nice. The highlights of the stay were the Nerja caves and a trip to Frigiliana. Use the public parkings as street parking is very limited.

Loved the area. Very clean. Lots to see and do. Plenty of choice of bars and restaurants. It was quite busy in the centre of town. We were there in April, it might be too busy for us later in the summer.

So beautiful place sorunded by mountains and sea view.
So beautiful place sorunded by mountains and sea view. Waking up with sunrise between Nerja mountains is just spectacular. Nerja offers great beaches- quite and wild and also famous louder playa burriana with good restaurants/shops and bars. For those who love hiking Nerja is just perfect! Must see Frigiliana- so romantic mountain village! For me Nerja is a mixture of amazing nature, intense colors, great food, very kind and helpful people, extraordinary landscape ( try kayak trip!), beautiful architecture and Old Town with very good shops and galleries. I recommend to come during April and September/October- not so many tourists and nice temperatures plus easier to talk with local people. Very good access by public transport- bus from Malaga ( 1.20h) only 5€. Hasta pronto Nerja!

Nerja is a very safe friendly town.
Nerja is a very safe friendly town. Great variety of restaurants / bars very good vale. The caves are best I have ever visited well worth the trip. Nerja market on a Tue is fantastic. Local crafts for sale including wood carvings/ ceramics/ leather products as well as fruit and veg. Fabulous strawberries.
A very clean, quiet hotel (even during the Nerja Carnival) ideally located close to the coastline, the central pedestrian routes through the town, restaurants, cafes, and shops. We even discovered a discreet Carrefour Express located on the lobby level of the building, so we were able to stock up on yogurts, etc., and store them in the room's mini-fridge. The staff proved to be both professional and congenial. Our only regret was that we hadn't booked for more days, especially at these daily rates and in this charming town.
It was easy to get to Perla Marina in Nerja. We drove. The location is perfect. It is right in the ocean but also a short distance from the city center. The staff was good and the room was clean and spacious. The hotel has parking for their guests. The restaurant food and the service were good. The room booked was facing the main street but we could see the ocean. The facility overall was good and safe for travelers...
- Hotel is in good condition. Everything worked, and the place is being kept really clean
- Staff was always helpful, and usually friendly
- Breakfast buffet is excellent, and enjoying outside on the balcony made it even better experience
- Great location: easy access to the Torrecilla Beach. Short distance from Nerja's old town, and few restaurants on the seaside are close
Location is good, hotel has 2 pools, one Indoor pool one outdoors, a gym, a washing machine in apartment which was very handy to wash all clothes. Apartment was clean and tidy. super clean and newly renovated small hotel in the centre of Nerja. It is super close to everything. The roof top terrace is huge and has plenty of space to accommodate everybody. The lovely plants up there made it even more special. The attention to detail in this hotel was amazing. The owner knows what makes people happy!

It was our fourth visit to this hotel so we are very happy also with this stay. Friendly and serviceminded personell, nice breakfast and dinner (we had halfboard). Nice walk along the beach to centre of Nerja is a treat.
Location was on the beach and near to old town. Spacious apartment. Although dated everything worked well. We had a 4 day rest while in Spain for several weeks and this place worked well for that.
