We stayed in the junior suite and were very impressed with the size of the room, the armchairs, and a lovely big bed. We took a bottle of wine from the bar to drink on our sunny balcony overlooking the mountains.
This hotel/restaurant is the most lively venue in town, and the best place to eat, at least during April. The staff were excellent, especially the Venezuelan barman.

A place to avoid. Not much charm and way too many British hippies, who instead of adding to a unique and interesting vibe, seem to fuel a proliferation of expensive touristy and inauthentic restaurant experiences.

Orgiva is a great centre for exploring the surrounding area. Plenty of walks for all levels of fitness in the mountains & valley. Some nice places to eat. Especially Cafe Baraka. Adams Apple also do lovely food.AineIreland - 10Scored 10
A very interesting town in the Alpujarras, a mixture of...
A very interesting town in the Alpujarras, a mixture of people, from local camposinos and Alpujarranians to alternative types, hippies, punks, writers, musicians, artists, spiritual and new age folks. The scenery is amazing, walking and horse riding/trekking is recommended, as is mountain biking for the fitter and more adventurous! Thursday market is worth visiting, all sorts of stuff for sale. 20-30 minutes from the coast and an hour from Granada by car. Not as busy and party central as it was 10-15 years ago, but still great. Also, some great local food and drink, tapa is free so you can happily drink and munch through the day! Apparently the last stronghold of the Anarchists during the Civil War in Andalucia, still has that unconventional vibe about it, well worth at least 2 or 3 days to visit.

I have stayed 3 nights in this beautiful townhouse. Peter was waiting for me and showed the house.It is very spacious and nice decorated.It is also very clean. I really enjoyed every minute in this house.I did some long walks and it was very nice to come home and drink a glass of wine at the big terrace. i hope to go back soon. He is incredibly friendly and goes above and beyond to connect guests with wonderful people. It's impressive that he speaks six languages, making communication a breeze. Entrance is seamless with a code to access the secured premises. The property boasts a delightful garden and is conveniently located in close proximity to Orgiva center.
