Absolutely everything!
All of the staff were so friendly and helpful and we had a great rapport with some of them (especially the children's entertainer and in the restaurant).
The were given an upgraded room for some reason which was very nice. Our room was on two levels so we asked if a stair gate could be fitted to prevent our grandchildren from going downstairs. This was fitted within 10 minutes!
The whole site was very well maintained and everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy. Every morning we saw gardeners tending the beautiful flower beds and other staff going about their tasks. Everyone you met would smile and say "Hola". It's either a company policy or else they are just nice people. I like to think it's the latter.
There are a number of swimming pools which were never crowded and an ample number of sun beds. Despite not being supposed to reserve these many people did.
The food in the buffet was of a good quality and plentiful. Each night a different cuisine was provided so you didn't get bored.

The undisputed Tenerife party capital, Playa de las Américas is a year-round resort of sun, sand and sizzling nightlife. At the foot of volcanic mountains stretching up to Mount Teide, its long beach is comprised of imported golden sand. Tenerife’s natural beaches – such as that in northern Puerto de la Cruz – are actually black sand.
Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje neighbouring Playa de las Américas also have golden beaches, and all are lapped by warm, turquoise waters. Watersports are a popular activity, and the area boasts Siam Park with its hair-raising waterslides, rapids and a host of swimming pools. There’s even a wave pool where you can surf!
Outdoor pools are also found in the Playa de las Américas accommodation on Booking.com, including 5-star resorts, cheap hotels and self-catering apartments. Aqualand has yet more flumes and pools, as well as a dolphinarium.
Dolphins and whales can also be spotted from boat trips along the coast. Other activities include Golf Las Américas, the Canaries’ largest golf course.
However, it’s what happens after dark that’s the biggest draw. The Patch complex has family-friendly bars with food, while the bars, clubs and casinos of the Starco shopping centre and Verónicas strip only really kick in at after midnight.

Touristy but very good promenade for walking. Quiet at night. Beach near Parque Santiago III not suitable for swimming, good for surfing. Not normally my choice of destination but enjoyed the hotel pool, garden, room and location.

I have been visiting the Island for over 30 years and I have never had a bad visit.
Siam Park is a must!!!!
Best bar is the Brahms and Liszt on the Parque de la paz strip fabulous place with the best staff on the island
Best restaurants are Little Italy Pompeii, Vegas grill and Pier 8.
The only issue now with Tenerife is the taxis from the airport as the queues now are ridiculous.

We normally stay in Adeje but because of the steep hills that are unavoidable decided to try Las Americas. We were last there in the 90s and were pleasantly surprised how upmarket it has become. Obviously lots of investment has been made and we have rebooked our holiday for next year.

for a Nordic person, tired of sunless days Playa de las Americas is the perfect destination even in the month of February!
Several perfect sandy or rocky beaches, walking distance form one each other....The place is filled with nice restaurants, bars and terraces;
The location is a paradise for family and non-kids alike!
As a family we spent also amazing times with kids in both water parks available (free busses to the location) zoo and delfinario!

We always stay at cleopatra Palace or sir anthony because they are in the nicest bit of las americas right beside the musical fountains with excellent restaurants and shops. We eat in Bianco, taipan, empire and Thai . I book online with venture (download app) before we travel as they are very popular and excellent quality. Our favourite bar is Magic , in front of cleopatra and next to hard Rock Cafe.the beach in front of hotel is beautiful soft sand. Harry's bar is usually mobbed and too expensive but it is a prime spot overlooking fountain. We book bed &Breakfast at hotel because restaurants outside are unmissable.

This resort has changed enormously since a short visit 30 years ago and I must say it probably has ‘something for everyone’ as the cafes, restaurants and shops seem to cater for all requirements. From up market clothing stores in gorgeous complexes not out of place in Dubai, Paris or London to neighbourhood ‘touristy’ neighbourhood style mini markets, they’re all here. More restaurants than you can shake a stick at, our favourite pastime was strolling the incredibly long seaside walk and stopping for a while in the sun for a coffee, beer and pastry.

The apartment complex is right in front of playa de las americas, a dreamy sandy beach. All that’s needed can be found within a few feet. There are over 150 restaurants within 500m radius and numerous stores. The apartment is cute and functional with everything that a family needs for a comfortable stay. Kids pools ate equipped with slides. The complex with its many colorful flowers, magnificent palma trees and parrots chirping and chatting from their tops is soothing for the eyes. Our host Kathe was friendly and helpful.
Columbus gets a lot of bad reviews online but this seems to be from people wanting a 5 star stay after paying for a 3 star trip. The hotel is more than enough if your wanting a cheaper trip to Tenerife. Clean, friendly staff and central to most things you need in Las Americas. Been 3 or 4 times now self catering and would return if i was going for a cheaper break in the future. I would say its aimed at more the 18-35 year old market but did see young families and older folk there enjoying themselves also.
Maxi and scenographic hotel where find a very good service (extra ones, like room service not too expensive either). Very funny pools and very good buffet (both at breakfast and at dinner). The hotel is directly on the beach. In the beach (which I remember not being owned by the hotel but it is a free beach) you can find free umbrellas and deck chairs. The position is good. The balcony is very usefull.
Despite the negatives mentioned below a good hotel mainly for services
Highly recommend. Absolutely beautiful property with very large infinity pool, jacuzzi, kids pool, restaurant, pool bar, mini-store, put-put golf course, etc. Beautiful one and two bedroom apartments with well equipped kitchens, patios, etc. Wonderful breakfast buffet with many hot and cold foods. Wonderful staff. Located above Los Cristianos, 12 minute drive from Tenerife South airport (TFS). Second time stayed here. Will return.
The apartment was very clean, well equipped, with a great view from the balcony. Everything was close by, supermarket, beach, restaurants. Easy walking distance from Playa de Las Americas Centre through to Port Colon. The owner, Alex, was very friendly and informative on arrival with examples of restaurants to visit. I would highly recommend this apartment for your visit to Tenerife.
Had a lovely stay. The hotel is located near the beaches, Playa de las Américas and Playa de Troya. There is an excellent breakfast daily. It's located in a quieter area away from the nightclub area of Las Américas! There is a bus stop near the hotel which is brilliant to do day trips or to get to other beaches. The staff are very friendly in the hotel!
Impeccable location in the best location on the south coast of Tenerife. The staff are professional and extremely friendly, the food (breakfast and dinner) is plentiful and varied, with live music. The hotel as a whole and the rooms were clean, everywhere was constantly cleaned and tidy from the pool to the restaurant and bar to our room.
Absolutely fab hotel my favourite all inclusive hotel for families the entertainment was great the food & drinks were great all staff were really nice especially Julia who took the most amazing pictures of our family. The slides were a great bonus. Would definitely return
Lovely spacious hotel, right on the beach front with tons of restaurants, and shops along the front, pool was lovely, we did self catering so didn't use restaurant, very friendly helpful staff, brilliant stay and perfect location will definitely be back
Central location
Good airco
We skipped the local pool and went to the beach instead.
Hotel has an option to check in digitally in advance - I recommend you do this saving time filling in papers at the reception.
Booking in staff were really helpful and friendly.the staff in hotel were all pleasant no complaints..with staff Food at breakfast good had a good choice...hot and cold ..
Breakfast is superb. Hotel is "on the beach" and has its own (very quiet and cosy) pool on the top of it. Staff is very friendly and always ready to assist, if needed.
We liked our private rooftop solarium and the complimentary snacks/drinks in the fridge.
We also liked happy hour by the pool and the location of hotel near bus stop
The rooms and the hotel was spotless clean right on the beach as well plus when your going to sleep you can't hear anything but the sea highly recommend Las Palmeras
Breakfast and dinner spreads were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was spotless. Entertainment in the evening was very good
