The undisputed Tenerife party capital, Playa de las Américas is a year-round resort of sun, sand and sizzling nightlife. At the foot of volcanic mountains stretching up to Mount Teide, its long beach is comprised of imported golden sand. Tenerife’s natural beaches – such as that in northern Puerto de la Cruz – are actually black sand.
Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje neighbouring Playa de las Américas also have golden beaches, and all are lapped by warm, turquoise waters. Watersports are a popular activity, and the area boasts Siam Park with its hair-raising waterslides, rapids and a host of swimming pools. There’s even a wave pool where you can surf!
Outdoor pools are also found in the Playa de las Américas accommodation on Booking.com, including 5-star resorts, cheap hotels and self-catering apartments. Aqualand has yet more flumes and pools, as well as a dolphinarium.
Dolphins and whales can also be spotted from boat trips along the coast. Other activities include Golf Las Américas, the Canaries’ largest golf course.
However, it’s what happens after dark that’s the biggest draw. The Patch complex has family-friendly bars with food, while the bars, clubs and casinos of the Starco shopping centre and Verónicas strip only really kick in at after midnight.

I have been visiting the Island for over 30 years and I have never had a bad visit.
Siam Park is a must!!!!
Best bar is the Brahms and Liszt on the Parque de la paz strip fabulous place with the best staff on the island
Best restaurants are Little Italy Pompeii, Vegas grill and Pier 8.
The only issue now with Tenerife is the taxis from the airport as the queues now are ridiculous.

We normally stay in Adeje but because of the steep hills that are unavoidable decided to try Las Americas. We were last there in the 90s and were pleasantly surprised how upmarket it has become. Obviously lots of investment has been made and we have rebooked our holiday for next year.

for a Nordic person, tired of sunless days Playa de las Americas is the perfect destination even in the month of February!
Several perfect sandy or rocky beaches, walking distance form one each other....The place is filled with nice restaurants, bars and terraces;
The location is a paradise for family and non-kids alike!
As a family we spent also amazing times with kids in both water parks available (free busses to the location) zoo and delfinario!

We always stay at cleopatra Palace or sir anthony because they are in the nicest bit of las americas right beside the musical fountains with excellent restaurants and shops. We eat in Bianco, taipan, empire and Thai . I book online with venture (download app) before we travel as they are very popular and excellent quality. Our favourite bar is Magic , in front of cleopatra and next to hard Rock Cafe.the beach in front of hotel is beautiful soft sand. Harry's bar is usually mobbed and too expensive but it is a prime spot overlooking fountain. We book bed &Breakfast at hotel because restaurants outside are unmissable.

This resort has changed enormously since a short visit 30 years ago and I must say it probably has ‘something for everyone’ as the cafes, restaurants and shops seem to cater for all requirements. From up market clothing stores in gorgeous complexes not out of place in Dubai, Paris or London to neighbourhood ‘touristy’ neighbourhood style mini markets, they’re all here. More restaurants than you can shake a stick at, our favourite pastime was strolling the incredibly long seaside walk and stopping for a while in the sun for a coffee, beer and pastry.

The apartment is superbly located. Very close to the beach, to supermarkets, to the main bus station that gets you everywhere. It is within walking distance to Siam Park. Has a superb view that impresses all the time. Had everything we needed inside (washing machine, dishwasher.. even an umbrella) I must also add that Internet was good and the host was amazing, giving tips about Tenerife, even reserving us a parking place when we met.
Highly recommend. Absolutely beautiful property with very large infinity pool, jacuzzi, kids pool, restaurant, pool bar, mini-store, put-put golf course, etc. Beautiful one and two bedroom apartments with well equipped kitchens, patios, etc. Wonderful breakfast buffet with many hot and cold foods. Wonderful staff. Located above Los Cristianos, 12 minute drive from Tenerife South airport (TFS). Second time stayed here. Will return.
Stayed in Apartments Vista Sur over the Christmas holidays. This is an excellent apartment complex, the rooms are spacious, modern, and well equipped. The view from the balcony is superb. The location on the beach front is excellent and at night very quiet, which we really appreciated. But most of all the staff were super friendly and extremely helpful. Many thanks to Ani and the rest of the team for making our trip so fantastic.
very nice place to stay and explore Tenerife. the apartment is close to Playa de las Americas. there is a bus stop nearby and many buses to lots of places of interest. also free parking just by the street which is convenient for driving.
the room is clean and everything is like new. the owner, Robert is very helpful and quick to contact. in general, this apartment made our stay in Tenerife very happy.
The Hotel was centrally located for everything we wanted to see and. I don't drive, but there was no need to anyway, because there is an excellent local bus service taking you to all points of the island. Sometimes with a change of bus at terminal areas. But the fares are very good, or you can catch a taxi 🚖 for a little more.
We loved it so much that we have booked to return there in December.
Liked the house very much. Sitting in the sun in the morning was lovely. The cleaning staff was really nice. The lobby staff were ok but not very nice. Our flight was late and when we came on sunday in the evening at 21 o'clock we could not get anything to eat or drink on the hotel. But we had paid all inclusive for all 5 of us for sunday and all the other days.
I liked the hotel as it was always very clean and well maintained and the staff were all very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much for them. Román who was in charge of the entertainment made us feel very included. (I've found sometimes in other places if your not all inclusive they don't tend to bother with you).
The hotel food was 1st class both in the restaurant and at the pool bar. The quality of drinks in the all inclusive package was exceptional. The pool areas were very spacious and the bedrooms were large, very modern and clean. The hotel is situated in a brilliant position within walking distance to all bars.
The hotel was really good! It has everything you need to enjoy your holiday. Do not have one bad thing to say about the hotel - perfect place to stay. Not too loud from Veronica’s strip (5 min walk) and you’re on the beach front. For the money I was pleasantly surprised! Don’t listen to any bad reviews.
We came at about 3AM and a nice smiling receptionist greet us with a congratulations after telling him our names (mentioning in the booking we come for our Honeymoon to Tenerife).
The room is very clean and looks great, we had a champagne or cava with a couple of fruits.
The apartment was really clean and modern, with a beautiful view. The owner contacted me before and during the stay and was very helpful. The hotel was close to restaurants and bars, we didn't have to use any transport during our stay. I would defiantly stay here again.
Great hotel, staff were brilliant, food and drink was very good for all inclusive; no cheap branded stuff was all very good quality.
Good choice of bars and restaurants through the hotel too and location is very central to things in Playa De Las Americas.
The hotel is spotless, rooms cleaned with new towels everyday..staff are extremely friendly..fantastic location on the beach..room had good balcony with table and chairs room facilities were good with enough equipment to get by free wifi
Breakfast and dinner spreads were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was spotless. Entertainment in the evening was very good
