Albergue Don Camino, hotel in Población de Campos

Albergue Don Camino features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Villalcázar de Sirga.

The check in notice according to Booking.com is for 12 noon and I arrived shortly before that. However nobody was there. Someone phoned the owners and it turns out check in is 1pm. But the owners didn't unlock the doors until 1:20 pm so I was hanging around for a long time. If I could do it over again, I would have proceeded to the next town instead of wasting time here. They have a restaurant, that also opened at 1:20 so they'd missed a lot of pilgrim traffic. I had a good sandwich and fries here. Nice backyard to relax in.

Quiet location in old Spanish village on the Camino way, with hermitage of San Miguel. Friendly, welcoming staff. Good home-cooked traditional meals. Breakfast was substantial - good for getting you back on the road. It might be a basic rural hotel in an old building but the rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. Parking also available

What a little treasure of a hotel, absolutely loved it!! Right on the Camino, it is very convenient for pilgrims but I could see that it would be great for a longer stay as you explore the area. Loved the outdoor space and the dinner was really great.

This rural hotel is right on the Camino and has a courtyard with a secure place to park bicycles overnight . On arrival we were greeted with a glass of wine. The pilgrim menu offered a chance to socialise with other guests.. Breakfast is good value.

Best hotel check in experience. I was tired from walking all day. The kind lady that checked me in sat me down on a couch and brought me a glass of red wine before checking me in.
