This was the best hotel during my Camino trip. It was lovely to stay there. It was clean, comfortable and most important only 4 euro more expensive than albergues where you sleep with 50 -60 people. The hotel was beyond my expectation. Everything was perfect. There was everything you need including shaving cream, hairdryer and hair iron.
I am amazed and I tottaly will recommend this hotel in my blog and to all of my friends who are going to Camino. All others places should learn from Hotel Don Pepe.
Bravo ❤️
I notified the hotel we were celebrating our 40th anniversary and we were surprised to find chocolates and bottle of champagne in our room. The facilites are clean and well kept. The view is amazing- we enjoyed coming every afternoon to relax in the balcony with a book looking at the water. Susie and all the staff were helpful and very friendly. The breakfast was perfect! The only area I would improve was the bed was not confortable. But overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.
We couldn't have made a better choice than staying at Hotel Marea and choosing a sea view room - waking up to the sounds of the waves and going for walks on the beautiful sea-side path were highlights of our travels around Galicia. Hotel was extremely clean, and little details like coffee and snacks in the room made a difference. Comfortable beds, kind staff, and an amazing local restaurant right below the hotel. We can't wait to come back!
A beautiful monastery hotel a few miles outside of Pontevedra. The rooms are very nice, typical of a retreat center. The grounds and museum are definitly worth a stroll. The Capilla (chapel) is beautiful and not to be missed. Very nice dinner and breakfat. EVERYTHING was perfect.
More pilgrmis should cinsider this location, especially if you are veering off the Central routnet othe Spiriltual route.
This place is in a wonderful location and offers great parking facilities. The staff is very friendly and especially Rachel speaks good English and gave me a lot of useful advice. Yes, there is a road in front of the hotel but they have 4 x windows and shutters. I didn`t hear anything. I had a room with balcony and sea-view. They cleaned the room every day to perfection.
We have been staying at this hotel for quite a few years, with different owners who were not experienced but also did not seem interested. The current owners have just spruced up the place and run it professionally. Although the hotel is very simple, you cannot beat the location for peace and quiet. The hotel is very clean and the sea is 10 meters from the terrace.
This very quaint little hotel with a view of the river and Ponteverdra was a great value and super cute. Slippers and white robes provided. Embroidered monogrammed towels. All sorts of funny little touches that you don’t see very often in more modern hotels. A very helpful staff. The breakfast spread was impressive as well one of the best I’ve seen.
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Very clean, excellent size room. It is not in the heart of the town, but a short and easy walk across the bridge.
Shower was amazing, it was nice to have a blow dryer. Bed was very comfortable. And the sheets look like they had been ironed.
Stack was friendly.. I felt very safe at the location..
great little hotel! loved the amenities-the bathrobe, slippers, real-size hairdryer, and even a flatiron! loved the embroidered sheets and towels-you don’t see that anymore! great parking spot for only 5euros per day. The façade will fool you-it looks a bit old, but the rooms are great!!
beautiful small hotel. host was excellent, she could not have been more helpful and attentive. very clean and comfortable. great location, short walk to beach. gardens beautifully maintained. breakfast made to order. had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone.
The MAN from the reception was a real gentleman! He was kind, willing to help us, a very nice MAN. I think this MAN is the “heart” of the hotel. Also the housekeepers were nice. It was a good breakfast. Clean swimming pool.
Very nice host, helped us with recommendations, was very friendly and welcoming. Location of the hotel is directly next to the sea, you can hear the waves inside your room. Very clean and quiet.
The hotel is lovely. A small one, with everithing you need for stay at Poio in Pontevedra. The breakfast was very good and the pool area is comfortable and relaxing. The room was very clean.
Stunning little rural hotel, well equipped and comfortable. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff who went above and beyond for someone who spoke very little Spanish.
Amazing hotel for amazing affordable price. For me was a perfect relax after camino walk and for recharge for a walk next day. It was worth to walk a bit more that day.
