The owner was incredible. She waited later than planned because we got lost on our bikes on the way. She was really patient and kind with the children and very friendly.
The location is stunning too.

Everything was perfect! The apartment was so clean, warm and quiet. The owners were friendly and helpful. There was even little breakfest in the kitchen waiting. Location was super for one night stay on our way to north. Would definitely go back any time!

If you're interested in the history, look online as it's fascinating how this apparent ruin of a village came to be that way - and the fact there are now people living back there - and a really lovely "rural" hotel - and wooden church! Nothing much else around, but if you want a really relaxing, quiet short break or just overnight - walking or even going on the lake - then can't recommend it too highly.

Have stayed at this hotel 6 times.
Have stayed at this hotel 6 times. Location is rural and quiet. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Hotel staff helpful and friendly. Continental breakfast includes homemade cakes and biscuits. Lunch and dinner are excellent value for money. Recommended rooms with a view of the lake 7 & 8. Which are duplex with a balcony.

Would recommend this hotel as a stopover.
Would recommend this hotel as a stopover. Only 50km from Salamanca. Very peaceful area, back of hotel faces a massive lake.
Nice terrace at back of hotel to have an evening drink.
3 course dinner inc wine for 10 Euro. Our portions were massive. So not fine dining but good wholesome food.
Breakfast again was ok.
Only negative was the poor sound deadening between bedrooms.
Happy to return.

A lot of the village was tumbling down and looked deserted, but when we went for a stroll after dinner, we saw children playing. It was really peaceful with no traffic, and seeing the moon rise over the lake was a treat!
The food was excellent, and we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast.
Next time we're on the A66/N630, we'll stay there again.

A great hotel located in an old village with plenty of character. Lovely room with a balcony overlooking the reservoir. Lovely bedroom with comfortable bed. Large bathroom with toiletries. Plenty of places to relax around the hotel. Would love to have stayed longer and we hope to return. Food in the restaurant was delicious and very good value. A great hotel for a peaceful getaway.
Nice, cozy place with very helpful, friendly staff. Big room with all necessities needed. Excellent quality restaurant for very fair prices. Absolutely loved the home-made dessert. Big breakfast (coffee, tea, fresh orange juice, bread, ham, cheese….). Kids loved the game / reading room. Parking inside hotel properties.
Everything about this hotel is superb. The rooms were all you could ask for, the view was excellent and the dinner and breakfast were exceptional. But most of all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I liked everything about this hotel and would not hesitate to go there again.
Due to a delay with our ferry we arrived very late, after midnight but it was no problem the staff were very helpful.
The hotel is not very easy to find but worth the trip.
We were recommend by friends who told us how good it was and they were right.
We had delicious breakfast, hot shower and very cozy beds. The lake view from the balcony was excellent .
We had the two chances to have dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. The both dinner was set menu which offer us 5 choices of starter and main.
What a gem of a hotel, don't drive to fast, you will miss it, and that would be a shame. The lady running the place was so nice and welcoming, we had dinner 3 courses 12 euros!!! Lovely position by the lake, thanks for a lovely stay
The hotel is charming and a lot of thought has been given to the decor which is very interesting. Before Covid we have stayed at this hotel several times as all is to our liking. The dinner menu is fine as there is a good choice.
