Our suite was at the top of an old building set in lovely gardens. A generous spacious set of rooms, bedroom (with terrace0, sitting and bathroom, well equipped and charming. The views across the medieval rooftops and the gardens were special. It felt like our own private medieval castle. Heated pool was great. Staff couldn't do more to help. Everything you needed provided form bath gel to pool towels, hairdryer and mini bar. Quiet, beautiful countryside. A good breakfast provided and taken outside where squadrons of swallows swooped overhead and finches chattered in the bushes was a delight. Plenty of sightseeing within a short distance, from stunning archaeological sites to seaside resorts.

Very nice rooms, the breakfast was very complete, and it's a nice area to travel by car to different beaches in Costa Brava. Monells is a nice town to see, as many other medieval towns in the area, and it only takes you an hour.

Stunning hotel, with lovely rooms and views (+ample free parking on the premises).
What I was most impressed with was the breakfast spread and how friendly the staff was, sharing all about the history of the castle and its inhabitants.

I liked the location of the hotel. The room is very spacious. Very attentive hotel owner/employee. There is a place to park your car for free close to the hotel.
The breakfast is really good and it is served in good quantity, and it is prepared/served by the owner/employee ("pre-assembled" individually for the guests in the room, it is not self-service). If you want to repeat something you have to ask.
The problem is that people may not always want to eat all the items that are served, on the other hand this avoids waste preparing a lot of food that may not be consumed.
My suggestion: ask guests if they have any restrictions/preference with any of the items they will have for breakfast and if so, replace the item by another, or increase another portion, etc.
