It is port city. Not touristic. Bad moment - was no beach near and everywhere in cafes and restaurants no wifi internet. no printed paper menu, it is needed to be scan by QR code with special application in mobile phone which need internet connection. Why no wifi? When in all other cities in Spain this option is available.

It's a very interesting and nice city.
It's a very interesting and nice city. People are very kind and pleasant. There are not as many tourists as in the south of the island. Living in a local neighborhood outside the center was very nice to interact with local people. There are many pleasant cafes and restaurants. There is also a great urban transport system of trams and buses. It is also a beautifully green city with many parks.

We have only ever visited during carnival which is extremely full-on everyday, so don't expect to feel rested after a holiday during that period. But do expect to feel exhilarated by the noise, music, costumes, fancy dress and joy.
I think it would be a lovely place to stay outside of carnival as a city break in dependable warm weather.
Its an easy bus trip to Playa de las Teresitas, and there are many efficient bus routes to other regions of the island. If you wanted to go off the beaten track car hire would be useful. Few if any organised trips start from Santa Cruz, for example, trips Mount Tiede tend to originate from the southern resorts.
Much of the centre is pedestrianised. Its a city for locals so don't expect all menus to be translated. Food orientated towards local taste also, which is excellent IMO.
Lots of good shops in the centre.
No great permanent cultural highlights, although I understand the Tenerife Orchestra is one of the best in Spain.

This tiny hotel is right in the heart of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. At the time I booked the hotel and based on the price I paid we expected a hotel way out of the city but when we actually got there we couldn't believe our eyes, our accommodation was right in the middle of high street and 5 minutes walk from the marina. All bars, restaurants and shops were at our doorstep. I can't recommend this hotel enough for its location. Bonus, we could see the ocean from our balcony (3rd floor)
Excellent hotel.
We loved it so much that we extended our stay and this is the second part of our trip.
We walked the whole of Santa Cruz and discovered that this is the best district to be based in.
There are several bus stops close linking it to the the city bus station and the rest of the island.
Very convenient, if like us, you have decided against a hire car.
Thank you to the team at the hotel for everything.
I liked the staff's responsiveness and willingness to help. If I had to rate only the staff, I could give all 10 points.
In general, everything in the hotel corresponded to the description, so please do not take the following as a terrible criticism of the hotel. It's just something I think they could improve on. Of course, if their managers read these reviews.
We had only one day at Santa Cruz, but it was a very good choice to stay at this hotel. It's new, modern, clean and comfy, the rooftop terrace with a small pool is a perfect bonus. Staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was just amazing! We really enjoyed our stay there.
This hotel is in a fabulous location to get around central Santa Cruz. The room was very clean, comfortable and the Standard room is reasonable in size. Perfect for a long weekend. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Many thanks all.
The hotel is newly remodelled from an old estate. The property is beautifully done. We enjoyed wine on the pool deck. The rooms have 14 foot ceilings, comfortable beds and fully connected TV. The location is excellent for walking into the historic town.
Very convenient location near the indoor market and other city attractions. Staff very welcoming and clean, comfortable room. For the night of the Carnival Parade, rates were obviously higher but still moderate compared to similar hotels in the area.
The best thing about the hotel is the attention of the people who manage it, the breakfast, the location of the hotel is super central, you can go anywhere. The comfortable room, with AC, the super comfortable bathroom. We will be back soon
The hotel is located in the centre of Santa Cruz, very close to attractions, coffee shops and restaurants. Polite staff and very clean room. The bus station is less then 15 minutes walk if you want to explore the island by bus.
In the heart of Santa Cruz. I expected 3star outdated hoted but it was very good convinient hotel in busy earea. Beds were comfortable, linen soft and bright white, toiletries included. quiet AV was a bonus
Hotel was amazing with an excellent location just in the city center.
— Room very nice and clean.
— Staff very polite and attentive.
— Good cocktails on the rooftop bar.
— Rich and delicious breakfast
This was my second time this year in this hotel. There must be something very good in the hotel if I go to the same hotel second time. Hotel has very good location, is very fresh new and has nice staff.
The hotel is really in the center of Santa Cruz. All is close by, for example the port of the cruise ships and also the shopping street and restaurants and a huge park for kids to play at the port.
A lovely hotel in such a great location. Shopping, restaurants, sights to see all within walking distance. The room was tastefully decorated and the bed was comfy.
