Two of our party arrived a day early. Even though it was 10pm the host, Roberto, organised accommodation in another location close by. He then texted in the morning to say the accommodation was ready for them. Fantastic, Beyond the call.

We thought Sarria would have a lot to offer since it is a major hub for Pilgrims. The historical section is so charming and has a handful of fun restaurants and hostels. Wish it had more boutique—like hotels b/c, otherwise, Sarria seems to lack charming housing options. There is a great store at the bottom of the hill as you are about to ascend up the infamous stairs to the historical section and out of town on with your walk. They have anything one would need for the Camino and there is a great pharmacy across the street as well.

Room on the ground floor was very spacious, bright.
Room on the ground floor was very spacious, bright. Lovely hot water, clean towels and toiletries provided. If doing the Camino walk id definitely recommend this place.
Great location and friendly staff.
The historical section/area of Sarria is really great. This hotel is down the hill from it and does the job of providing a private room and bath. Staff was waiting for us and very helpful but then gone with no way that we saw to reach anyone. Nothing at all wrong with the pension, but we would next time look for something up the hill in the historical area which is much more charming. Still, the pension did the job.
A perfect stop on the Camino just a few kilometres beyond Sarria for those who want a head start on the masses the following morning. The staff were lovely, the dinner was excellent and the pool was exactly what a tired pilgrim needed at the end of a long day walking. Our room had a toilet and two showers between only 8 people and it was lovely having these as en suite. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!
The facility was very clean and maintained very well. The location is very close to the station and close to restaurants. Laura was a very good person but she recommended her husband’s restaurant strongly for dinner and breakfast and spent 2/3 of our first conversation instead of the explanation of the hotel procedure. I can tell she does this with kindness but it was a bit too much for me.
The Pensión could not have been in a better location. It was right on the Camino path leading out of Sarria. The managing agent was amazing. She spent a considerable amount of time to help us to get accommodation for the next 4 nights as everything was booked out. She also explained where we could buy some groceries as it was Sunday and most places were closed.
Very easy storage of the bikes. The hotel has nothing remarkable about it as we look out of the 5th floor over Sarria. A 10 minute walk to town takes us down to the river promenade and a few deserted cafés trying to make a living in hard times. It's a bit sad; Sarria is lacking that Spanish joie de vivre.
Ideal location, immaculate, and great attention to detail. For example, even though it is a nice hotel, they still understood that pilgrims want to wash their smelly clothes and provided a drying rack that hung easily out of the window. Perfectly sized mini fridge stocked with water.
The pensión was very comfortable and Monica, the owner, was fabulous- polite, helpful, and even made breakfast. The pensión was uphill from, and close to, the old city (where Camino pilgrims would want to visit) and close to the Camino as it leaves Sarria.
The La Cason de Sarria was our favorite accommodation on the Camino de Santiago. The refurbished old buildings were lovely. Wish we could have been there when the flowers arrived. Marcella, the owner, was very personable and helpful.
Clean room, welcoming staff, amazing breakfast. I left my phone charger at the property and Marcella very kindly arranged for it to be dropped off at my next hotel. Marcella went above and beyond and I am very grateful
A standard hotel. We arrived late into Sarria and needed accommodations with a 24-hour desk. Hotel Alfonso IX is a good location, a full service hotel, and price included breakfast. No much atmosphere.
The location was great. The bathtub was amazing after a long day of walking. The breakfast buffet it was also one of the best of all hotels I stayed in.
