Decent apartment with kitchen and washing machine, useful if you need to stop over in Unquera. Just a few minutes walking between Bustio (Arenas, Picos) and Unquera (Santander) bus stops.
This hotel, beside San Vicente de la Barquera Port, offers stunning views over the Old Town and estuary. There is a terrace bar, and all heated rooms have private bathrooms.

The surroundings were beautiful. The hosts were very friendly and were very welcoming. We ate dinner and breakfast there, both of which were exceptional. There was safe parking for our motorbikes.

I have stayed in the 2* Hotel Canal in Unquera for a week in early October almost every year since 2015 while attending an annual classic motorcycle rally in neighbouring Colombres.
Unquera is a small town near to the coast on the border of Calabria and Asturias. It is on one of the more popular Camino routes and close to the Picos de Europa.
The town has several bars, restaurants and basic shops. I would not describe Unquera as a tourist destination, but as a working town with all of the usual facilities of a small community. I like it for that.
Great clean place right on the Camino and very economical. The staff was great, room was very clean and it is in a great location for a peligrino. This hotel has a restaurant and breakfast was included and the food was excellent. But you also have options nearby to eat. There is a grocery store nearby. A dated hotel but I really slept well and felt secure. I would rather have dated furniture and a safe and comfortable bed than the opposite. I do recommend for peligrinos and others!
Looks like a normal hotel from the outside but it had the most powerful shower I have ever experienced. Better than a 5-star hotel or those jets in the spa. Like a deep tissue massage in the shower. Amazing.
This hotel room was spacious and comfortable with private bathroom. Reception staff were helpful and efficient. Though limited, the included breakfast was excellent. I enjoyed my visit here
A simple value hotel with exceptional staff team. Nothing was too much trouble. Ideal location for the Camino del Norte. Great price. Thank you. Everything was spotlessly clean. Huge room.
Decent apartment with kitchen and washing machine, useful if you need to stop over in Unquera. Just a few minutes walking between Bustio (Arenas, Picos) and Unquera (Santander) bus stops.
The hotel was easy to find, with good access to the motorway. Also close to popular resorts.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was fine.
