Loved our stay here. The apartment was perfectly clean, quiet and spacious. The kitchen corner is fully equipped with everything a guest would need. Free parking in the front of the building. The owner of the house was so generous, warm and friendly and always smiling and she made sure our stay was very comfortable. The best thing was that our dog was welcome. Thank you so much!

A relaxing comfortable little gem of a place.
In a very good location with a beautiful pool area, lots of outdoor seating areas.
Large comfortable beds, good kitchen facilities. But the icing on the cake is the beautifully managed gardens and the communal lounge/,dining room
A wonderful place to stay.
The breakfast was very fresh and plentiful.

We stayed for four nights. The location is on top of a hill with fantastic views of the area. Our room wasn't big but there was enough room for a couple. I do recommend breakfast options. Is prepared by the host and sourced locally. Great start of the day. The location is perfect if you consider exploring the local area.

The apartment was spectacular The view was spectacular and the pool was sparkling clean! Loved looking over the pool in the evening as it was lit up and looked like we were staying in a 5 star resort. The owner was very helpful each time we needed a taxi and it was good to know she was always available on the Booking com site to answer any queries! We would definitely stay again!

Velez Malaga is a really nice town with a mix of both the old part and new. It has lots of little cobbled back streets with very traditional little Spanish bars and restaurants scattered around, although as it's not your typical tourist destination be prepared for many bars not to open on certain days, although when you can sample them you may be pleasantly surprised at the reasonable cost compared to your typical Costa!
In addition, it's literally next door to the seaside resort of Torres del Mar, so if you fancy a swim in the sea, it's just a 5 minute drive.
There is also a decent golf course (Baviera) a short 15 min drive away.

It is a pleasant town to wander round.
It is a pleasant town to wander round. We are not beach people, as we prefer mountains. It's a good centre for reaching the various routes that are advertised., like the raisin route and the mudejar route.
Velez Malaga is not too touristy.
It is not an easy place to find your way around by car.

Smallish town 30 min away from Malaga, great place to stay if you prefer real communities to the tourist farms on the seaside. Well-kept tipical Andalucian historic buildings, good shops, OK restaurants. 10 min away from the beaches, accessible with even public transport. Center of tropical coast: awesome local mango, chirimoya, avocado in season!

You need a car to get there.
You need a car to get there. Cost of parking is 10 Euro/day so for one week was 70 Euro. It was 30 km from coast and if you get off the main roads, can be very difficult driving in the very narrow and hilly laneways.
GPS often directed us to one way streets in the wrong direction.
The venue is breathtaking; we had our wedding here and it was loved by everyone. The views are phenomenal, if you’re happy to be away from the hustle and bustle of tourist spots - this is the place for you!
The rooms are beautiful, with balconies and minimalist yet traditional decor.
The linen and towels of very good standard and the toiletries in the bathroom very good.
The food at the hotel is outstanding and very reasonably priced.
We will be back for our anniversary.
The room is very big and smells super good, like a 5 star hotel. You can absolutely find everything to make longer stays feel as homie as possible. Anything from cooking utensils to a washing machine. Super comfy bed with an incredible good odor!! Only downside was the quality of the internet :/ but apart from that, everything was perfect! Very friendly and helpful staff. We never tried the pool as it was a bit cold during our stay, but it seems a definitely plus!
So tranquil, in a very special rustic mountain setting! The hosts, Annette and Dirk, are wonderful and very welcoming. Visiting with them and their adorable friendly dog Mitch was an unexpected highlight of my trip! And when I encountered a problem with my rental car in a nearby town, Dirk was very kind to give me a ride in order to meet the tow truck.
Host, Maria, was exceptional - she was attentive to our needs and had many wonderful suggestions for our adventure! I had the privilege of having coffee with her in the morning - she is a beautiful soul ❤️ Wish we could have spent more time there. I would definitely recommend Hotel Palacio to all!
Great location in the center of an old town. Beautifully designed charming boutique hotel. Most importantly, excellent service! Maria - the hotel manager is the most caring and helpful person you can ever imagine. Cecilia kept our room in perfect and clean condition.
We enjoyed our stay a lot.
We were welcomed in a just freshly painted courtyard. After the mud rain they have had in the region, they worked hard to get everything in order for their guests. Complimants! In general a great small (9 rooms) hotel with very good service. Breakfast is a must do.
absolutely amazing views and the best breakfast I ever had! Better than any 5* Hotel! Michelin Star worthy!
The hosts were very lovely and gave us great tips to explore the surrounding area. All in all a great stay! Here you get really value for money!
Great location, lovely shaded courtyard inside and excellent rooftop pool and sunbathing area with great views over Velez-Malaga. This place is a real hidden gem! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
It is a beautiful small hotel with a swimming pool. The room was pretty little but the balcony was great! Sitting on the balcony we could enjoy the view of the mountains.
Beautiful views. Calm and peaceful. Very welcoming hosts. The room was very clean and practical.
Keep in mind it's the countryside and that there are no shops nearby.
