The house is in a very small town with no services, and is quite picturesque, at least externally. The breakfast was affordable and plentiful
This beautiful country house dates from 1628 and is located in the tranquil village of Treceño, Cantabria. It features a garden and the building of the Casona De La Salceda includes pretty arches.

Yolanda was very kind and let us in earlier when they were finished cleaning. The place was very well maintained and cleaned with care. We see her eye for detail and really appreciate that! The kitchen is well equipped. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and it was great to have a musquito net in front of the window. The place is located next to the main road but very calm. There is a very nice bakery next door and kiosk with most of the basics for a decent dinner. The bus stop is also nearby. It is only a 10 min walk (1km) to the beach. There were a lot of information folders to help explore the area.

Lovely quiet location but very limited facilities in the area. Excellent parking. Friendly staff.
Olde-Wordle furnishings and decor which is part of the building’s charm.
This is more of a restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel, hence posada.
As a result of time pressures we didn’t eat here but the menu looked good.

Cute tants with everything you need - even with fridge, place to hang cloths, a lot of el. sockets. It is located at the back of the camping where are mostly Spanish people with caravans. You can drive your car through all the camp and park it next to tants. It was raining all night and I could barely notice. Bathrooms are not far, quite clean considering it is camp. There are some swimming pools, that we couldnt use because of the weather. Restaurant in camp was nice, quite good food for good money. Close to winery Bodegas y Viñedos Miradorio de Ruiloba with many local products.

We were staying for only 1 day - coming from Comillas and a visit to Gaudi's "El Capricho" (which is located not far from here and definitely worth a visit, see photo below) but we enjoyed the countryside around Vernejo.
