Hostal Etxeberri, hotel in Zubiri

Situated just 29 km from Pamplona Catedral, Hostal Etxeberri features accommodation in Eugi with access to a terrace, a bar, as well as a housekeeping service.

We were lucky to stay here on our Camino walk. A short taxi ride brought us from Zubiri and the local bus returned us to Zubiri the next morning. The staff were so friendly especially Marina. As we sat in front of a wood burning stove in a beautiful terrace overlooking the lake, Marina looked after our every need. The food is delicious using only local produce. It’s a little way off the Camino but the peace and tranquility makes this journey worthwhile. We would recommend this hotel.

This is a beautiful place to stay in Zubiri, especially after many days on the Camino. The Welcome was so nice and the renovated 400 year old farmhouse is beautiful! An added treat is that we were able to have our Camino clothes washed AND dried, a real treat! The store next door has so many great things to snack on or make a lunch or dinner from. Txantxorena was one of my favorite places when I needed to be spoiled on the Camino! Would love to stay there again.

The hostess was wonderfully helpful and accommodating about the two halves of our party arriving separately. We were grateful for her English, her help with our camino passport stamps, the information about Zubiri, and her assistance with planning for a return trip next year. This would be an excellent hostel for student groups, especially co-ed trips. Super clean, excellent beds, showers, bathrooms, and kitchen.

The hotel was absolutely stunning!! The ancient walls and floors, the beautiful beams, the lovely garden...all of it. The room was really spacious and the bed was really comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. They also had a kitchen and a gorgeous sitting area, although we didn’t need to make use of them. Check in process was easy, and the location in Zubiri was perfect.

We had 2 double rooms - 1 x ground floor, 1 x first floor. Because of the heat it was always going to be an uncomfortable night, but provision was made with a fan in the upstairs room. Be aware that this accommodation is really aimed at pilgrims doing the walk so it's not a holiday hotel. For our stay, though, it was what we needed on our road-trip back to the UK.

In 2 Camino best property ever. Classic old home converted into 6 or so rooms. Private rooms never heard other guests. Beautiful area downstairs where you can bring back meal or glass of wine. Best part of property is the greeter. Spoke perfect English and was efficient with check in and info about Zubiri. Easy to find first left after crossing bridge

This is a unique hotel - an old farmhouse renovated to be a hotel. The rooms were spacious and it's located at the end of a quiet street so there was not much traffic noise. The hosts were very nice and they had lots of choices for breakfast (including gluten free toast!). We met a lot of fellow Camino pilgrims here, which was nice.

The host was wonderful. We arrived after a day of walking in torrential rain. She had newspaper ready for us to stuff our shoes with for drying. She invited pilgrims in for tea who had no place to stay in Zubiri and called taxis to take them into Pamplona. So very kind. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, lots of hot water.

What a surprise to find this gem. A visual jewel along the Camino del Santiago. You'd be lucky to stay here since I think it's one of the smaller hotels - I sure felt lucky. It was a shoot & and score for sure. Also, a massage is available in your room if you decide you want that added bonus.
