Arriving to the olace (late evening) there was not any real guiding information, - there are no room numbers (only room names in Finish language), and thus no logic way to find your room :-(
Finally, the code to open the room door did not work.

Hämeenlinna is a great old town to visit in Finland.
Hämeenlinna is a great old town to visit in Finland. The castle is great, and there are a lot of other smaller museums and places to see. The city has some good restaurants and great hiking trails nearby.

A lovely town with plenty to do.
A lovely town with plenty to do. Everything within walking distance. We went to the ice hockey which was great fun, a short bus ride took us to aulanko where we went for a sauna and swim in the frozen lake after walking through the beautiful forest. There are supermarkets with everything you could need and a shopping centre with lovely shops. We found a great karaoke bar (weds & thurs) just up from the square that looked like a gingerbread house- so much fun!

Lovely walking paths around the lake and the castle was very interesting. We had a fantastic evening meal at the Gingerbread House restaurant.
We had intended to travel from Tampere to Hameenlinna by boat and then train onto Helsinki; however this wasn't possible because the boats stop 1st September. Need to be aware of these dates.

Nice city.
Nice city. Peacable, tolerant, observant, generally very nice place and with many good people and its not much for being a party animal, its got its special lovely charm... I can not forget it. Albeit a smaller city with not a ton of stuff for me to drive around doing yet the castle and the walks, the people the city shops. Such a great and nice region!
Its like the home I never had. :)
Also Lammi seems nice with sights just next door to Hamenlinna.
Its easy to get around also.
I liked the location of the hotel. I loved the food especially. We had dinner and it was so good. The breakfast had a variety of choices and it was delicious to eat. I love the fact that they had a kids corner and the whole hotel and restaurant are kids- friendly. I loved the swimming pool and the sauna. I also loved the fact that the room was very spacious with four beds for a family of 3.
The hotel is centrally located, has private underground parking and is easy to find. The reception was very friendly and communication with the hotel was swift and accurate. The rooms are worn out and beds are very, very soft. Breakfast is very good. Although the hotel could do with a renovation, the quality for the price is very good.
Nice surroundings and Aulanko naturepark nearby. A bit oldish hotel (the main building) i might say but the main building is from 1938, in that perspective it is in awesome shape. Dinner was ok, breakfast was great! The spa was bit crowded because of fathersday, but we did not calculated that when reserving room.
Lovely and clean little hotel in the 100y old building, boasting with great location in the heart of the town and unique atmosphere. Old house is renovated with good taste and we loved personal touch all around. Breakfast was nice, it was served in the cafe next door.
A great location with water and forests around the hotel and a walking distance from the Aulanko observation tower and the Häme Castle. A very nice spa, a small but a sufficient gym, a good breakfast, lovely staff. Great for a few days or a weekend in Hämeenlinna.
Near by the lake and linna, nice view. Breakfast was ok, But room just so so, not so clean.
Dinner also eaten inside hotel. The service just so so, they were not only missing our drinking but also ice cream coming with main dishes, so surprising.
This is renting an apartment rather than hotel. Excellent, fully furnished, comfortable home. Place is very nice and quiet, kitchen is well-equipped. Close to the railways but there is no extra noise in apartment.
Great location. Was nice to be able to see the castle at sunset just across the water from the park next to the hotel. Restaurant on site is beautiful and breakfast had a little of everything.
Really a nice little independent hotel right in the centre of Hämeenlinna. Friendly staff, good facilities, and the breakfast was exceptional - all at an excellent price. I will return!
